Northern Irish flag

#

Started by nice guys

Hello to all the Northern Irish folks here on the WOM!

As I relized too late thet a friend of mine went to the Belfast gig, I now have to ask someone else to get me a big Northern Irish flag.

After seraching the internet and the whole of London for such an item, this seems to be the last chance of getting such a flag.

The bigger, the better!

I’d be willing to pay for it but prefer trading it for Therapy? or other bootlegs.

Send me an email to:

stefan_fietzek@hotmail.com

Thanks in advance,
Stefan

hi stefan - nice to see other nationalities showing interest in our wee country.

you can buy them at:

http://www.unionjackshop.com/ where they go under the name of ‘ulster flag’ which is technically incorrect, but however.

unfortunately it doesn’t look like you’ll get it in time to wave in support of us getting hammered by spain tommorrow night in the euro 2004 qualifier. still, there you go.

What’s it now… 882 minutes without a goal?
Shit, that’s about 10 games. Get Pat Jennings back between the sticks! He was deadly!

But yeah, Spain lost at home to Greece the other night. I think they might take their frustrations out on you lot tonight. :p

I, meanwhile, will be attempting to stay awake during Ireland vs Georgia. Anyone see last Saturdays game against Albania? Oh my God…

yeah the irish game was shite alright, of course we don’t have duff this time so am assume we’ll have to abandon that bullshit “free role” formation thing.

Thanks lads, I found one on eBay which makes it even easier; I don’t know why but the Northern Irish result is always the second one to look for. First look goes to Austria: it’s always funny seeing them lose against nobodies like Moldova or Faroe Islands. Tonight they play Belarus…

Germany has to go to the Faroe Islands and will probably be very lucky winning 2:1!

I watch every Ireland game (obviously), but usually flick through the latest scores on teletext to see what’s going on elsewhere.

Best of luck to Albania in Switzerland tonight (should happen, since we had all the luck against them last Saturday :p )

I always look for the “home” nation results, especially Wales - who I really hope qualify - and N. Ireland, England & Scotland. I’ll get to watch the last half hour of N. Ireland vs Spain, after the Ireland game. Should be enough time to catch a few Spain goals :D

Sorry, N. Irish lads from the board! ;)

Well, don’t know about getting Jennings back in goal, maybe he could score now and again, but the keeper last night looked to have things well under control between the sticks! Hard luck Spain! :D

Ian Dowie - Fussballgott! :D

Yeah, Maik Taylor is one of the North’s better players. Definately their best keeper in a long time.

Looks like I was wrong about yesterday’s game, well done to the Northerner’s! They could have won it too, close to the end if it wasn’t for poor finishing.

As for Ian Dowie, he looks like that dude from the Goonies! :D

Hasn’t Pat Jennings been killed in a car crash some years ago?

well, if rik waller died of starvation and steve irwin was eaten by a crocodile, then pat could be dead of course although he seems pretty lively to me.

weren’t northern ireland BRILLIANT last night? wish i had gone, but seeing as it was £20 and as the last spain match i went to was a 5-0 defeat, i just watched it at home. anyway, hopefully this is the start of good things - the new starts looked the part. maybe we could get some sort of decent stadium instead of the shithole that is windsor park if we continue like this. - you can but dream.

anyway, well done to austria - they could have lent us a couple of their goals though…
