A relatively straight forward solution - try a band with a less active messageborad - Wilt for example ;). Alternatively, ignore all the threads with dull sounding titles. Take control of your life.

Dear Citizen,

Thanks for your lightning fast response. However, while the Wilt message board is rather inactive at the moment, I do find the members that are there somewhat ‘up themselves’ - particularly the ones who post just one message under the guise of someone else from another message board. I find this tactic very deceptive, and as such, would perfer to remain on here.

Secondly, while ignoring threads with dull titles is a good idea, I do find that no matter how interesting the title is, the content invariably consists of inane posts from certain members going ‘off’ topic. One such member, I suspect, is indeed the same deceptive poster I have mentioned previously.

But I agree that I need to take control of my life. So, from today onwards, I have taken out a years subscription to the ‘Readers Digest’. Hopefully, this bold move will enlighten me to a world of knowledge that I never knew existed.

Finally, thank you Citizen for all your good work. You are indeed a revelation!

Yours sincerely,
Matt Bellamy

Ahh, yes, now the Romans and Egyptians had the same problem (after all, whoever heard of air-con in a pyramid?). You need to get yourself some slaves - and a couple of large palm leaves. You can also use the slaves to dine off.

Many thanks for that sterling piece of advice. I’m still getting hot when dinnertime renders their wafting powers useless, but I can live with that.

This sort of thing happens all too often these days I’m afraid, it’s very childish, and often the perpetraitors feel guilty about it afterwards.

Dear Citizen

In summer my room is hotter than the sun, but I’m too tight to buy a fan. Every day I come home, break out into a hot sweat and think “What can I do to cool my room down?”.

Please help,

Anonymous of Bristol

I’m glad I don’t have the same problem! After all these years I’ve finally worked out what gives me migraines; the heat! If I get too hot then I start getting a migraine but if I cool down quick enough I can manage to avoid them!

If only you knew… and I suspect at least 2 of you have a rough idea…

Mr_Bob wrote:

Man eating trees - difficult, but try your local fish bar for man eating chips…

Winning hearts of girls is tricky - and ‘be yourself’ is advice which is of not much help. If she’s seeing you at the same time as someone else, then I suspect you will either have to accept the status quo, or give her a him-or-me style ultimatum - which may result in you having nothing (but being free to pursue any other young lady that takes your fancy), or in an invitation to a threesome, in which case I suggest you go round the back first.

Mr_Bob wrote:

Get better drugs (pref legal ones) - I suggest http://www.laphroaig.com where they claim
“There are 3 main ingredients for making Laphroaig - Barley, Water, and Yeast, but the secret ingredient is the People.”

I’d ignore the bit about The People, unless they’ve done something in The Water…

Try your local witch. Or be less drunk, that works for me.

My age being nearly right in the middle or both of yours and Citizen’s gives me a vague feeling of confidence… ;)

Some of the ones that like the ‘more mature gentlemen’ are pretty odd too!
