you’re damn right, but I gues your either should be a wannabe rockstar who actually also wants to be a gangsta-rapper or someone who dresses and acts like he grew up in the gutter and makes music that sounds like it’s recorded in his mothers kitchen if you wannabe on mtv2

perhaps i am imagining things but i was of the impression that T? don’t make videos anymore. i’m sure if we all e mailed mtv2 enough they’d play some videos. i think the only T? videos i’ve ever seen were the church of noise video, lonely cryin only and of course the classic diane video with andy being somewhat unclad

It’s all about image and fitting in, Therapy? will always go their own way and therefore you can’t really manufacture something to a market if it won’t conform. I’m drunk, but it makes sense to me!

Title: an idea…

All we need to do is get therapy? to star in the next slim shady video, all they have to do is wear gold, bust/pop caps in peoples asses and look mean. If they do that then H/A will get in no.1. and then they’ll be on everything, radio, tv, magazines, breakfast cereals. mmm life would be good.

just put a big “shady records/produced by dr. dre” sticker on the albums, it’ll be top ten for sure next week. same with “new and improved rock music put together with electronic music”-, “the newest ‘The’- and wannabe 70/80 rockband”- or “hype of the month in NME”-stickers.

No, you need the ” most life affirming album ever” sticker from the NME!

I agree with this my friends were into therapy? along time before i got into t? I got into t? after hearing infernal Love.
They used to listen to nurse, babyteeth and t/gum, but after that they didnt know what happened to them, the delay with semi detached may have also caused t? to drfit from the public view as well.

However soon as Andy and the boys gets themselves some chains’ goldteeth, and some ho’s, and a possible criminal record, then life in the fast(er) lane will beckon, and follow many reputable stars onto the cover of smash hits.

Yeah most people are surprised when i tell them T? have released four studio albums and a compilation after Infernal Love.

I think the worst thing in all of this is the fact that there’s a lot of people out there who are still familiar with who they are, but obviously have no clue that there’s no new product available…which leads into the worrying thought that somebody out there is being a bit too lazy on the PR front. We knew Arse21 were shit, but surely Spitfire will do a better job?

everyone I know only remember Therapy? for Troublegum. For them to know about Infernal Love would be too much to ask!
I went to an independent music shop with some mates and found an old bootleg. they had told the owner I’m a fan and he kept that bootleg for me, when he saw me he pointed at me and said, “oh she’s the therapy? girl. Unbelievable, I haven’t met a Therapy? fan since 1994, I wonder where they have all gone…”

I also think spitfire is doing better, most people didn’t know about shameless, you really had to search very hard after some reviews, but know there was much more attention from the press. Spitfire also is more a rock-label as ark21

I do remember seeing some ‘Shameless’/’I Am The Money’ adverts in mags, haven’t seen much for ‘HA’ yet, but then again I rarely buy Kerrang! any more (because it’s gone shit) and NME doesn’t want to know anymore it would seem.

It’s an uphill struggle, maybe we should all try a mass bombardment of emails to MTV2, or if they release another promo video/single (I vote for ‘Stand In Line’!), there is the possibility that Scuzz might pick it up, they seem to be a bit more open to the smaller bands, unlike the Kerrang!/Emap conglomerate bollocks worshiping Avril Latrine and the like…

What T? needs to do is line up a producer that is sure to get them a lot of attention. Like even DR. Dre or Bob Rock or some other famous idot that thinks they produce a better record than a lot of independent producers. Just to stir up the KoolAide a little. What I would love to hear is a T? album produced by Steve Albini, that my friend would be one awesome sounding record!

If I recall correctly ( Hooch has all my T? stuff so I can’t cross check this ) Steve Albini was the original choice A&M wanted to produce Nurse, the band declined on the grounds that they’d then become “just another grunge band”.
