Hmmm, Well, i disliked shameless at first, i was really dissapointed, but then after a while it grew on me, now its one of my favourite albums. Semi-Detatched i also think is calss although a lot of people probably disagree.
I dont think sp-yf was al lthat different, it was really just a back to basics “nurse”esque record, but its evry very good too.
I dont think there is a bad song on HA, at first listen i would have said rust, but i think the chorus makes up for it.
Therapy? have always had a poppy element in their music hence “twisted punk -metal-pop” i think songs like my voodoo doll are good, because they brighten albums up in parts. its an all round brilliant record, and i think the guys are owed many many thanks, so here’s mine Therapy?
Thanks

Rust is a good song, but it draws on a bit. I find myself thinking “Ok, this is alright, but get on to Neverending!” The “Pop” elements have always been part of T?, and it’s always struck me funny when people dislike a song because of this.
I’m just glad the guys can make an album that’s different than the last, and still holds together what makes T? what they are- a damn cool rock band.

for me it was like “getting bored” after one time listening … except some pop refrain … its just 3 slow … and the same notes afterwards fast … don´t like it, when music gets to primitve perhaps?
don´t know really … but i think its one of the worst songs on the album

Theres nothing wrong with something being ‘pop’.

The only thing wrong with “pop” is when that’s the only thing you do. When you mix it up, like Therapy? does, it works well.

I think it depends on how you see pop, when you see it as commercial top-50 music it’s shit indeed, but then limp bizkit or 50cent also would be pop. But you also can see it as melodic rock, then there would be many more good bands which can be called pop(sonic youth, dandy warhols, ash,…)
