Havent’t heard anything of it, yet. Where did you get that rumour from?
If it’s true they could only play at the Zeche, where they also played in 2000. That would be brilliant.

Tst, ts..these young kids don’t respect people in their thirties anymore. :)
I haven’t got the new Coolibri yet, so I haven’t read it either.
By the way, the Ruhr-Universität would have been a dreadful place without nice people from Oer-Erkenschwick studying there for years and years and years… :D

By the way allroy, we’ve really got to meet up at the next gig for a bit of Kölsch vs. Alt banter! If it’s in Bochum, at least we’re on neutral ground! :D

Yes, let’s beat the Strandfuif BBQ with a Bochum fan meet.
If October, 19 would be confirmed it’d be a Sunday. So we could have a cup of coffee and a piece of cake before the gig :)
If they’re playing the Ruhrgebiet there might be a chance of T? playing in Cologne again as well, probably Live Music Hall, si I might even try a Kölsch in the beer garden at the Underground round the corner.
But, Psycho, what would you do if they played the Zakk in Düsseldorf (it would have the appropriate size to host a T? gig). Then all possible home ground were covered, wouldn’t that be nice?
Of course, ‘coz it would mean a bunch of T? shows to visit this fall (I like answering my own questions :)).

All sounds promising! I’ve been to the Zakk before, and I reckon it would make a pretty cool venue for a T? gig, even if it is in the “Forbidden City”!

If they come back to Kölle, I’d prefer to see them at the compact Prime Club again, that last gig there completely blew me away. However, I do remember being at the Underground one night, and they were doing a Diebels Alt promotion! Aaaarrrggghhh! Even more of a reason to stay away from that area! :D I also found out last month that Sion Kölsch and Schlösser Alt are actually brewed by the same company, which is based in Dortmund! Can you believe it!? That’s just taking globalisation one step too far… ;)

I can’t wait until the 7th of September, when the mighty Kölner Haie are set to destroy the beschissene DEG in the KölnArena! :D

As the song goes: Altbier macht doof… ;)

I don’t get it. maybe I’m too stupid :)

But let me ask you a question: Who’s reigning ice hockey champion in Germany? Cologne??? :D

By the way, if you’re such a hockey fan, you have to check out the mighty Hanson Brothers from Canada (the alter ego of hardcore veterans Nomeansno) and their so called Puck Rock.

To call Fiege a beer is the most provocative thing I’ve heard for quite a long time. :)
The best beer from a Dortmund brewery is Clarissen Alt.

So I ended up posting about beer again. Anyway, what else can I do as long as no tour dates are confirmed?

We’re just loaning the title out to Krefeld this year! And anyway, as long as the DEG or Mannheim doesn’t win it, and we give them a good, solid checking in the playoffs, who cares!:p

Re: the Hanson Brothers: Have you seen Slapshot??? The best sports film of all time!

Oh, and by the way: we already have two votes for Reissdorf Kölsch!!! :D

Well, well. Tell me this: Why is Pils named after Pilsen and not Dortmund??? Because it isn’t from Dortmund, that’s why!!! :p I like answering my own questions too!

Tja, at least Dortmund has got a good footy team. Allroy, what do you think about Lehmann joining the Gunners? I’m pretty sad he’s leaving the German game, he was one of true characters in the Bundesliga, and he had balls going to the BVB after Schalke…

RE: Slapshot: Totally agree on that. The band named itself after those three characters from the movie. They’re wearing hockey shirts on stage, their roadies wear refere’s shirts and sometimes send the singer into the box for two minutes. They’ll be back in Germany in October and play the Zwischenfall in Bochum on Saturday, Oct 4. I’m not sure yet whether I can make it there as Mönchengladbach are playing in Hamburg that weekend, but I’ll try.

RE: Lehmann: Nice way to call a loony a character :) Seriously, he’s a good goalkeeper, but I didn’t see the necessity for Arsenal signing him as their reserve keeper Taylor is a young and talented goalkeeper who has proved his class often enough. Anyway, I think I can make it to Highbury in September against Portsmouth to see Lehmann live.

RE: Dortmund: What I think about Fiege as a beer I also think about Dortmund as a football team. There’s only one team more dreadful than them but I don’t mention it (it’s got something to do with goats, and the city it comes from hosts strange T? fans :D)

Hehe, I’d almost forgotten, it’s the big match this weekend, isn’t it!!! Well, good luck, but I don’t think you’ll need it! I was at the preseason friendly between the 1.FC and Liverpool, and Cologne didn’t have any answer to Owen’s pace at the back. If Forsell plays, Gladbach shouldn’t have any problems getting the win. Is he still at Gladbach? Are you going?

But, by the way:I’ve just seen on the Gladbach website that their fans have decided the team should run out to 2Unlimited rather than Metallica… I think that tells you a great deal about them… :D At least we have the Höhner!!!

Unfortunately, Forssell’s back at Chelsea. But I think even I might be able to score against cologne :rolleyes though I might lack a bit of speed compared to Owen :). Of course, I’ll be there. I’m a season ticket holder for I don’t know how many years.
Luckily I mostly get into the ground shortly before kick off due to the hospitality of the pubs around the Bökelberg so hopefully I’ll miss that awful piece of shit they call music.
But the music at football matches is always dreadful (with the exception of St.Pauli: the teams come out to Hell’s Bells by AC/DC and Blur’s Song 2 is the soundtrack to highlight St. Pauli goals, though it hasn’t been played very often, lately)

I think I’ll have to win the jackpot in a lottery and buy Borussia to let them come out toa T? song.
Hey, that might be a nice topic for a poll (we didn’t have so many recently :))

1.FC Köln 1, Dortmund 0.

I actually meant Dortmund used to have a good footy team… But at least it’s an excuse to have some Kölsch!

:D
