What are you people doing after the concert? Are you spending the night there? Is there a B&B or hotel in Gladbeek? I need to find out because I want to arrange my airline tickets on the way back. How much would a taxi cost me from Genk to Gladbeek? Any ideas?
The name of the village is Glabbeek, in case you get a taxi. I have no idea what it would cost. I think a taxi, or riding along with somebody is your only chance to get there in time, because public transportation at night is very rare in Belgium.
After the concert, I think most people will return to the BBQ site for some post-gig drinks and discussion. Every WOM-member is invited to come over, even if you can’t make it to the BBQ.
If you can bring a tent, you can sleep there. I don’t think you will find a hotel or B&B in Glabbeek, as it really is the middle of nowhere.

I guess you’ll have take a taxi (or a lift from someone) to get there.

So, a lot of T? fans and the weather forecast is sunny and probably dry. Nothing keeping us from having fun and without a doubt enjoy another fine T? show later in the evening.

I wasn’t finnished yet…
The camping areA is very close to the festival-tent, the weather will be good, everything is gonna be allright…
The first band will play around 18.00 h so you’ll even have some punk-rock-emo-music in the background, and some ska later on :)
T? will not begin before 23.30 h so you’ll have enough time to enjoy the BBQ.
Maybe the non-Belgians can get to know De Mens (quite a good live band : but they sing in Dutch (Flemmish))
CU friday

The camping area is in the same street as the festival tent.
This street will be closed for all traffic friday from 18.00 h (so be there before or you’ll have to park a bit further away)
We are not making signs for the BBQ, but come to the festival site and everybody will help you to find it.
There will be electricity and light but no toilets (you can use the toilets in the Bunker (when open) or on the festival site (100 meters)

I will also see tomorrow if this is enough, and otherwise make some signs.

They sure did! We had the BBQ (thanks to Karl/Knives for organising the whole thing, great job!), and the T? guys joined us for a while before the gig. They played at this small festival called ‘Strandfuif’ of which they where the headliner. Great show I must say!
It was nice to meet some T? friends again, cheers guys, we’ll meet again in the (very) near future!!

Thanks to all the people present for a wonderfull day.
Thanks to T? for joining us and putting on an amazing show. I’d rank it as one of my top-3 shows, not quite sure yet to put it 2nd or 3rd. The setlist was very balanced, the new songs were played very violently, a great gig.
@prisonbreaker: no problem you got drunk. Glad you got home allright.
@Idoru: someone stole my crate of Stella (not only the beer, the entire crate was gone). I strongly suspect the 4 with the deux-chevaux that came riding in at about 4 am, who weren’t part of the BBQ.

I had some time to let it sink in, and it’s definitely number 2 on my personal gig ranking.
Turn, Stories, Ten Year Plan, Andy teasing us into Teethgrinder, Neil hitting really hitting the drums during Teethgrinder, Andy dedicating Die Laughing to Barry White and Church Of Noise to us, Martin accompanying the crowd singing “James Joyce is …” on his cello, Michael bouncing around on Rust, Andy singing “Teenager in love” with slightly adapted lyrics as intro to Screamager, Andy describing the similarities between Belgians and Northern-Irish and ending with “The underdog ROCKS!”, stuff that memories are made of.
If you took any pictures of the BBQ or the gig, please send them to me (karl.verheyden@village.uunet.be) and I will put them on my personal web-space. I will post the link here as soon as I put up the first pictures.
Rene, perhaps you can pick some up to put on the official site, it’s up to you.

I think it depended very much on where you were standing. I never protect my ears, and I only had a slight buzz after the show and nothing the next day. I was standing a few rows behind irishlady.
So, it was definitely loud, but not too loud.
