The Cult

#

Started by MarkoJii (Ukko Perkele)

I was just wondering is here any The Cult fans?

I know that this is a shameless plug but if you liked recordings like “Electric”, “Sonic Temple” and “Ceremony” then you also should get the two boxes (“Rare Cult” and “Rare Cult - The Demo Sessions”) as well.

I happen to like The Demo Sessions very, very much! Hopefully Therapy? will do this kind of thing someday…

no. they were crap after Sonic Temple. they just got more popular after Electric, which is probably why you stopped liking them :p

anyone got The Manor Sessions? it’s mad how different those songs ended up being. it just goes to show how much input the producer can actually have, i guess.

Nope, Sonic Temple marks the decline to Guns’N’Roses style stadium shmock, e.g. this cheesy Edie song.
By the way, if I hated bands just for being popular I wouldn’t buy T? stuff just to keep them small. :o

I was at school with bass player Jamie. He was a twat.

His earlier band ‘Ritual’ was much better.

Sorry cult fans.

Wow! I have always thought that Jamie was the nicest person in Cult and that Duffy was the bastard. But now I know that people can get the different impression from magazines and interviews…

It seems that there is no Cult-fans here, but I can live with that because I like their music… ;o)

To be honest I haven’t listened it that much lately but it’s better than the selftitled album from 1994.
I think that those two “Rare Cult” boxes are awesome!!

I haven’t got the Self Titled. No good I take it?

I saw them live 10 years ago, supporting Metallica in Istanbul, they were really great on stage…especially Ian Astbury.
