I was going to start a thread similar to this one but the title would be American Pie 3. Pure wank.

Wasn’t that exactly the topic of all three parts? :)

Perhaps you should visit here: Bad acting? Bad plot? Bad script? to see what’s really possible, because if you were expecting anything at all from Freddy vs Jason, then I have no sympathy for you. ;)

Freddy vs Jason was fantastic! Apart from being mildly obscure how Freddy was able to get Jason to go to Elm St in the first place, the plot was fine, the actingwas… not what you go to see a horror film for and overall impression was it was brilliant!

Are you sure you saw the right film?

i went to see this film expecting horror, some of which was present but it was funny more than anything. not “ha-ha” but funny as in how badly it was presented. but i’d say it was worth seeing though, if only for “novelty” value.

p.s. sorry for excessive use of “quotation” marks.

I went in expecting pretty much nothing other than a so bad it’s good type film. I was hoping it would have at least made me laugh out loud in places, and being a bit of a gore f/x fan I was expecting at least some all out shlock. It came close in places but never really hit the mark, the best character was the Jay rip-off, who was so close to being Jay that you wonder why they didn’t just use him and let him get away! The film was so clued up in it’s post modern presentation that it may as well have gone the whole hog. It made Jason X look like a cinematic masterpiece!

Having seen Kelly Rowland’s acting I think I’m understanding why Destiny’s Child are getting back together to tour again!

the main fault is that, going into the film and judging by both of the main characters previous films, basically both of them can never “die”. out of the 18 or so films in jason and freddies past, the only good one out of them all is the first nightmare on elm street. sad but true. and that was probably about twenty years ago!

Thats what happens when you don’t let Jan Verheyen direct movies… :D

“Freddy vs. Jason” is the movie I’ve been looking forward to for ten years. I CAN’T be dissapointed by it. Sadly it won’t be released in Austria until November so I’ll have to wait two more months.
However, I really don’t think it’s as bad as many of you say (did you like the previous movies? because if you didn’t why did you go and see FvJ in the first place?). IMDb users gave this movie a rating of 6.8/10 which is pretty good for a horror movie, especially a “Freddy vs. Jason” movie. Come on, these characters are 20 years old and still make 79 millions at the box office (which by the way means each series will have at least one more entry).
