Title: P-magazine

Belgian P-magazine has a 2 page interview with T? this week.
They only mention the Strandfuif gig on fri aug 1st.
Please note that they also publish pictures of pretty girls (for those of you who only read the articles)

I realised today that it’s only 2 more weeks ‘till TW Classic. Yeah!

Who else is going? I’ll be there, probably wearing my blue T?-shirt with Gemil on the front and Therapy? Marshall-style on the back.

I just opened the Humo of this week and looked at the TTT-agenda with the concerts for the coming week.

They forgot to put Therapy? on the line-up of TW Classic. I guess I will have to give considerable thought to cancelling my subscription to Humo.

Don’t count on it… it will be exactly the same as the last gigs, I’m pretty sure about that…

But miracles do happen of course :p

And we did get sort of a surprise: Isolation (and Turn again).

The setlist was (many thanks to Murphy? and Robby for giving me one):
Nowhere
Nobody Here But Us
Screamager
Trigger Inside
Church Of Noise
Hey Satan U Rock
If It Kills Me
Turn
Die Laughing
My Voodoo Doll
Isolation
Diane
Potato Junkie
Knives

No encore, as could be expected.

In my opinion, the new songs were played a bit too fast. A good show anyhow, but not in my top three.

The setup was a bit strange though. The area in front of the stage was reserved for people with a special bracelet. And by the time we found that out, all bracelets were already distributed, mostly to Rolling Stones fans. Which meant that when T? were playing, right in front of them there was not so much movement. Behind the reserved area there was some jumping around and singing along, in the middle of people still sitting on the ground waiting for Clouseau or the Rolling Stones.

It was fun seeing them taking pictures of the stage all the time and Martin dancing along with the Stones during their show :D

The audience still reacted pretty good I think, not in the front but that’s no wonder: it was full with old bastards (in wheelchairs AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH) and young bimbos waiting for Clouseau :( Speaking about Clouseau, I already did not expect much, but it was pure shit if you ask me… absolutely terrible and boring show…

And a VERY VERY special thank you to Dave for getting us the setlists :D You rock !!

And euh… zm: it was a pretty cool view on stage no :p ?

couldn’t agree more. nice show, not the best (the stage was a bit too big i think), but ok.. and definitely good to hear isolation again!

anyone seen the rolling stones actually? i thought they were just a-m-a-z-i-n-g! from the first note until the last one, that was one huge party. didn’t know what i had to expect, but they blew me away (60 year olds blow away 22 year old; can you believe?) great show!

wrong! i had one, and believe me, i’m a true therapy?-fan ;)

wrong! there was one small (well, very small actually) mosh pit on my side (the opposite side of where robby stood, so i guess you stood there was well), and that was great fun.. All those old bats thinking “hell, what is happening over there?”

well, errhh… after the rolling stones, someone (my dad, actually, one of the old bats in front ;)) told me that there was a therapy?-signing-session earlier on. felt a bit stupid after that, and felt soooooo much more stupid as i realized i had been hearing clouseau, instead of having my ticket signed…

so, sorry robby, i was still in front then, somewhere in between all those clouseau-metal-heads

Seems like your frustration clouded your thinking my friend. Just like most big arena tours (like previous Stones tours and Springsteen earlier this year) the first X of fans get a special bracelet for the area in front of the stage. Since this automatically means a sprint after entering this rules out the old people and the wheel chairs. The people around me were or in their early forties, thirties (like Andy ;) ) or in their twenties (a lot of them, who totally freaked out during the Stones by the way).

Again I’ll have to disagree with you. Since a friend of mine has got back problems we were standing at the back of the restricted area so he could lean against the fence. ALL the screaming came from the first couple of rows of the “normal” audience area. YOUR area my friend :D …

Stones ruled by the way. Keith is the man… (just ask Martin ;) )

I believe you :). I said mostly, because I did see some movement from where I was standing. This was probably your small mosh-pit.
There was also two T?-fans with their mother standing near to you then. They stood right next to me while waiting for the signing session.

I thought Neil rocked particularly hard on Nowhere.

And the Rolling Stones were good. I was some 15 metres away from the small stage in the middle where they did a few songs. They still rock. And of course a spectacular show, but not overdone.

Title: stuff

Thanks for the info. I just about pissed my pants when I saw Therapy? were playing with the Stones. I saw the Stones 8 times this tour in the U.S. And I would gladly spend that kind of fortune again if T? ever toured the west coast. Glad to see they are still doing “Trigger Inside.”
This is the setlist for the Stones if anyone cares.

Brown Sugar
Start Me Up
You Got Me Rocking
Don’t Stop
Angie
You Can’t Always Get What You Want
Midnight Rambler
Tumbling Dice
—- Introductions
Slipping Away (Keith)
Before They Make Me Run (Keith)
Sympathy For The Devil
Respectable (B-stage)
It’s Only Rock’n Roll (B-stage)
Street Fighting Man (B-stage)
Gimme Shelter
Paint It Black
Honky Tonk Women
Satisfaction
Jumping Jack Flash (encore)

I’m sorry my friend, I strongly disagree with you on both points…

1. You did not have to run to get the bracelets, trust me… we did and half an hour later they were still giving them away… my nice buddy Murphy arrived 35’ after me at the gig and had no problems getting a bracelet… and there were fucking wheelchairs behind me (probably 4x4 driven :D)… whoever was there, back me up on this one…

2. Next to me and behind me there were many brainless bimbos who were waiting to see mr Wauters…

And regarding that frustration: I made it to the first row, T? kicked ass and the guys were very friendly after the show… so why should I be frustrated??

I for one was a bit dissapointed really. The sound compared to the other bands on there that day wasn’t optimal and the setlist could have been more varried. They didn’t play a single note of Shameless, Nurse or Suicide Pact and only one song of Infernal Love and Semi Detached isn’t enough either. From all the THERAPY? gigs I’ve been to this was the least. Mind you certainly not the last.
PS This is a call to you THERAPY?: play Skyward, Bowels Of Love, Disgracelands, Gone, Femtex, A Moment Of Clarity, Sister, Endless Psychology or Six Mile Water next time you come round here. 20th of november is marked in my small black book.

They played as support act for the Stones for crying out loud… I think it was a pretty good set all things considering… the Troublegum songs that most of the people knew who saw them already in Werchter combined with 4 new songs… I don’t think we could have expected more…

By the way: there were 6 people from my work as well and they all loved Therapy? :D The CD sale of High Anxiety in Belgium has gone up with 6 pieces since last Sunday:D

I’m not joking by the way… they really ordered them today :D I kind of forced them, but hey… life is a struggle :D
