Hmmm… *Thinks intensely*

For me its probably Evil Elvis, its catchy but nasty, and the lyrics sum up a lot of T?’s other songs methinks.

Hmm indeed.

Given that there’s always a certain amount of humour in Therapy?’s stuff, and in their live peformance especially, but it always rocks, I think I would say He’s Not That Kind Of Girl.

One of my favourites, but not my all time favourite Therapy? song, but I remember where I was sat as I was downloading the SP-YF album (hey, it wasn’t even out then and I did buy it when it came out!) and as that song came on, I just settled back in my chair with just the biggest shit-eating grin ever! I was thinking, “Yes! This is Therapy? for what I know them to be!”.

I think it should be Ten Year Plan. I get the feeling that Andy was only thinking about THERAPY? and what they have been through up until that moment when he was writing that song.

die laughing

it has got the T? humour ,the teenangst,a little bit of metal a little bit of punk and a whole lot of “cans on head crashing, drinking beer untill there’s more beer in your body as blood” rock

Probably (cliche alert) Screamager, as it seems to have most things I love about their music. But for everything I think’s great about it (like a fantastic riff), you can always point to another song that doesn’t have that and yet is still unmistakably T?

Good q tho’, well done that man.

Another vote for ‘Die Laughing’

The first T? song I ever heard and the song that turned me into a fan. You can’t really describe this song. It doesn’t sound like any other band. It’s not quite metal, it’s not quite punk and it’s catchy as hell. Sums up Therapy? for me.

There’s no answer to this question! It’s unfair, I think my head will explode trying to find an answer :(

I know I will probably feel otherwise tomorrow, but I’ll go for Diane in its many incarnations. (I’m listening to the rock version just now)
It’s sometimes loud ‘n dirty, sometimes it’s intimate and intense, sometimes (but seldom) it’s even crap. They’re not afraid to take a cover and turn it into something unmistakably Therapy?. And you never know what you’re gonna get, untill you hear it.

So I guess this sums up Therapy? for me.

Come to think of it, this would have been a very good question to use for the next MVD competition.

Straight Life

It’s the best riff, Andy is in fuckin’ great voice, and the drums are mind blowing - and those lyrics!

In fact, anyone noticed that though musically, Semi-Detached is not the best T? album, lyrically its truly amazing - pretty damn poetic.

Bad Mother..

For personal reasons. I got dumped by an girl I really loved and the positive attitude in this song practically saved me. Via this song I discovered what T?:s music is all about..

Bad Mother - positive attitude?

Let’s review the first verse shall we?

It’s a beautiful day
But I don’t see it that way.
The sky’s too bright
For my tired eyes to take

And I wish I was home
I’m edgy cramped and cold
Trying to keep down
The things that you keep wanting to go on.

Yeah, that’s as positive as you can get!

Don’t review just the first verse - you have to look this song as a journey from misery to the end climax when everything is ok again :)

Anyhow maybe the lyrics aren’t so happy but for me it feels like positive song..

Ah, what a hard choice.I could probably name fifty, because theres a certain quality to them that I love. Like So much for the ten year plan, for the riff and the line,”So much for the ten year plan I just wanna get drunk and head bang.” Or Bad Mother for that immortal key change. Or opal mantra for the buzz saw guitar riff and those lyrics that you can shout out loud and still not be shouting loud enough. Or even Brainsaw. I guess what I’m tryin to say is that I’m against pickin one song when too many of them are too special to me.:D
