A Perfect Circle

#

Started by Andy D (Andy)

Only 4 days until the new A Perfect Circle record comes out after 3 years waiting for it. The strange thing is that I like them more than Tool. Are there any other APC fans who share this strange condition?

I haven’t heard the album yet but the CD cover is terrible! Like Evanescene (sp?) or some cheap goth band. Yuck!

I listened to the new APC album and I like it. It’s a step away from Tool which is fine with me. The first one was too much Tool like, Thirteenth Step is much more diverse and even more atmospheric than Tool.
My favourite is The Nurse Who Loved Me.

Wait… they covered The Nurse Who Loved Me? Now I have to pick it up just to see how they pulled that one off.

It’s a cover? Who did the original?

Cheers for the info. I must admit that I missed out on Failure completely so far.
Anyway, the best band ever to exist is…

…ALL.

My favourite songs off the new APC album are Noose and Pet.

Heres a site with some live APC tracks which might be of interest http://www.cereboso.com/dvn/apc.html

Failure is freaking awesome! The only reason I know who Failure is is because back during Lallapalooza 98(?) Tool was headlining, Korn canceled and Failure got bumped from headlining the 2nd stage to opening the 1st stage. Tool and Failure were the best bands there.

As for The Nurse Who Loved Me, that song is on Fantastic Planet. Lately though, my favorite album has been Magnified. That cd just blows my mind.

Also, I know it’s been on here before (but got a whole 4 replies), but Ken Andrews (lead writer and singer from Falure) has a new band called Year of the Rabbit. If you liked The Nurse Who Loved Me, you’ll like these guys. Still sound like Failure in my opinion.

I’ve first heard of Failure when they contributed a fantastic cover of “Enjoy The Silence” to the DM tribute album. Think the band split up shortly afterwards.

They also do a fantastic cover of Ashes To Ashes which is worth downloading.
