Has anyone bought it yet? If you haven’t go out and get it. ‘Never Get Old’ is such a great song and ‘The Loneliest Guy’ makes me cry. and there’s a special edition of the album with Rebel Rebel on it.
wow, it’s so good, it’s better than Heathen. I love him to bits!!

I was surprised by how downbeat it was, not really sure if I like it that much at the moment.

It can’t be bad, it’s a Bowie album and we’re not in the 80s anymore. But…
…it’s definitely not better than Heathen.
I can’t see any top quality songs like 5:15 The Angels Have Gone, Everyone Says ‘Hi’ or Heathen (The Rays) on it.

I think it really is better than Heathen although I take you point. Everyone Says Hi is a great song but I think I like Reality better as a whole. I think it’s a more honest album.

Bowie is the personification of the word ” Overrated “.

The day he sings in tune will be the day Metallica support Therapy?

Heh, that will also be the day I’m late on purpose to avoid the support act.

I like some Bowie, the mid-late 90’s when he was doing stuff like The Heart’s Filthy Lesson was cool.

um, i’ve never heard him sing out of tune before.

I think a lot of stuff he’s done is overrated, like ‘I’m Afraid Of Americans’ which I really liked but it got a bit too much hype for what it’s worth. I don’t think he’s overrated though. I can understand people not liking him but I think he’s proved himself to be as good an artist as he’s cracked up to be

Of course he has ‘proved’ himself hes one of the most influential artists ever.

My favourite song off Reality at the moment is Bring Me The Head Of The Disco King.

I still haven’t listened to the bonus cd yet.

You just know that if Heathen was a brand new album from a brand new artist, it would get called ” dad rock ” or ” retro ” or ” nothing exciting “

well of course they would if they didn’t like it. People said that anyway despite it being Bowie. Fact is lots of people did like it which is why it sold so well. I’m just stating the obvious here by the way

I don’t think the term ‘dad rock’ really applies to Heathen maybe some of Hours possibly and if you’re dad likes Bowie he has good taste.I always think of bands like Ocean Colour Scene and Starsailor as being a bit ‘dad rock’ and if a brand new artist had released Heathen i think it would have gained him/her some recognition and the The Pixies and Neil Young covers would have caused some interest.
