Started by Citizen Erased (confused again) in Chit-Chat

A few months ago, I remarked that this wondrous film was about to be released on dvd. This was wrong! Bad Me! Spank bottom! I was confusing it with Once Upon A Time In America - same director, fewer horses. However, OUATITW (drips off the tongue, doesn’t it?) is now to be released on dvd on October 6th (it’s on amazon.co.uk).

On a side note, Charles Bronson died the same day that BBC2 last showed the film!

Once Upon A time In The West is the bestest ever Western ever made ever, and is really good - it’s possibly the most effective use of a soundtrack eveer as well. Oddly the composer and director worked together on the score before shooting the film - the script was then written to fit the music. It’s long and takes a little while to get going, but is well worth a watch.

No, you’re not! I just don’t get why everyone loves it so much (Withnail lovers, really no need to tell me ;)).

Will perhaps watch OUATITW one day. I think the only Western I’ve ever watched was Young Guns, and that was only as an excuse to perv on Kiefer Sutherland for 90 minutes.
