Guitar on computer query…

Started by Citizen Erased in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Is it possible to play a guitar through a PC? If so, do I need any special software or just some sort of guitar/USB lead? And does anywhere sell such stuff…?

a simple way is to plug into a stomp box or any guitar effects unit and then into line in.
If you plug in raw then it sounds rubbish except if you get
real time guitar fx software. You may get a bit of lag between playing and hearing unless you have alot of ram.

for recording multitracked guitar and anything else onto to pc, Ntrack multitracker software is the best budget way to do so. I’ve just finished an ep using it. Ntrack.com
