Therapy?

I got into the band after hearing pleasure death by chance when my brother got the cassette of a friend who was a really into the band (this was in 1992). i must say the songs blew me away, mainly due to fyfes distorded vocals on skinning pit, the pre song dialogue on fantasy bag and the overall feeling of the LP. Also the cover art of the albumn was unlike anything i had heard of to this time, (i was mainly into Nirvana) to this day i regard babyteeth as their most powerful work with obviously pleasure death being just as an experience. I think my love for the band stemmed from the songs sounding unlike anything else i’d heard at the time and having T? having coolest T Shirts i had ever seen (every time my brother saw the band at the Feile festival in tipperary, he brought me home a tshirt, my favourite was a T? shirt that said “Leave me alone “. I think the point of this post is to say that i am confused at how most of the fans regard troublegum as the “best albumn” to be honest the only song i am really into on the albumn is lunacy booth.
To round this post of i would like to state my favourite T? albumns (and i know this has been done hundreds of times before) in order of which i listen to most often :
Babyteeth -
Pleasurer death - (Caucasian pschosis)- best song skinning pit & obviously innocent x)
Nurse - best song (honestly im that drunk i cant remember the name but it says… if i kill myself i’ll stop thinking.. , at the end
Shameless -best song endless pschology
Infernal Love - best song- same problem - the last one on the albumn … there’s one thing that i should remember…
Trouble Gum - best song lunacy booth
Suicide Pact - best song six mile water
Semi detached - Dont really listen to this albumn but black eye purple sky is a great song.
And i havent bought high anxiety because i am STILL blown away by listening to caucasian pschosis and dont feel the need.
Does this make me less of a T? fan?

Don´t think that it makes you less T? fan … most of the people in here weren´t fans from the beginning … you were and i wish i were, but just got into them with “troublegum”
for me its a great album … but everybody has his own taste …

But i love the older songs (babyteeth, pleasure death, nurse) more than the new ones … Didn´t like grahams drumming and loved fyfes … Neil is better than graham for T? but i really miss fyfes sound … (and second snare drum - timble!)
- but thats another endless discussion on this board.

i think i wouldn´t say anything against you … cause you were there from the beginning, so i kinda would look up to you and not down …

High A. … you should listen to it sometimes … for me it sounds like a B-Side collection of the Troublegum-Inferno love aera … but i think some of the people in here probably say “No it fucking rocks the most” …

I really would like to hear what you think of their new album … like the opinion of really really fans (from the beginning!)

Cheers

Well, everybody is different, and thank god for that, I say.

Personally, I can’t stand Babyteeth, and even gave my copy away to a friend because I never listened to it. I’ve heard all of T?’s albums, and I really like most of them, however, as I said in my “hello” thread, Troublegum is, for me, Therapy?’s greatest work, and my all time favourite album.

Every single song makes me think “This is the best one”, then the next song starts… “no, this is the best one”. I just absolutely love every single song. I can’t think of another album where I don’t think some songs are just “ok”, or even rubbish. I absolutely love every single song on Troublegum.

You guessed it right ;) HA is definately NOT a collection of B-sides, the albums kicks ass and for me it’s the best thing they released in years.
