Slayer. Along with Sabbath, they’ve been the heaviest and most influential metal band ever.

Maybe I’m being harsh. Give me a couple months, i’ve been known to change my mind. But I was expecting something spectacular.

What did you buy? The album or the EP? I have to say I don’t like the album THAT much but the EP kicks ass indeed.

Probably the album, if it’s called Regret Desire Fear/Hope (translated ‘cos this keyboard doesn’t have the infinty sign).

Aw man… thats the album. Its not as heavy and its really rambling. Try and trade it for their EP ‘slow riot for a new zero kanada’, which was one of Andy Cairn’s top 5 records of 1999. Also for added interest I have the cover of that EP tattooed on the top of my arm. :)

And no, they’re NOT my 2nd favourite band. I guess that would be Portishead or Sick of it All. Kinda hard to choose.

Eels is my favourite band besides T?. (I love them both equally, I can’t choose one over the other).

Are there any more Eels-fans here? I’d think that T? and Eels would attract the same fans, because even though they don’t sound the same, many of their lyrics are basically about the same things.
