**Refused - The Shape of Punk to Come**

#

Started by tk4two1

If anyone has not yet experienced this album you are totally missing out! Even though Refused have broken up, they did put out what I believe to be one of the best punk albums of all time. Even If you don’t like punk you might like this album. Has anyone here heard it? Don’t bother with any of Refused other albums because they are shite.

YES! Definetly the best song on the album but there is not a song I dislike on it. And I love the opening lyrics “I got a bone to pick with capitalism and a few to break” Geinus… Too bad that it was their final album. Still haven’t heard anything like it since.

By the way allroy, what is your favorite ALL album? Mine is Breaking Things… Yes it really is.

Uhh, that’s difficult to answer, ‘coz it depends on the mood I’m in. Sometimes I like the more freakier stuff like the Allroy Saves-Album.. Allroy’s Revenge is fantastic (as it got She’s My Ex and Mary on it), but my favourites are Allroy For Prez… and Percolator.
But Breaking Things is also great (Shreen, Stick; Politics and, of course, Strip Bar).
But don’t ask me about ALL or Descendents, I could go on for hours… :)

It’s a pity that Refused split but The (International) Noise Conspiracy are also awesome.

Yeah, it is great. I read that the reason they split up was because they’d achieved what they’d set out to do - which is pretty cool if you ask me!

It is, but I hope then that T?’s aim is world domination, so that it still takes some years until they quit.

Still some great songs on that album, like “Liberation frequency” or “Summerholidays vs. Punkroutine” (which reminds me a bit of the holy FUGAZI)…
