Got to say, it’s now officially one of my all-time favourite T? songs, both musically and lyrically.

I have to agree with you, it became one of my favorites instantly. Every time I listen to it, it’s at high volume.

Its a very optimistic song i think. These lines from IIKM always remind me of the final song of the Manics Generation Terrorists album Condemned To Rock And Roll,There are still things that I wanna do There are still places that I wanna see and the final lines from Condemned To Rock And Roll are There’s nothing i wanna see,Theres’s nowhere i wanna go.

I just wish they would have spent some more time and effort writing “Hey Satan…”, but I still like it as it is.

Much of the kudos for “If It Kills Me” being so good is due to Neil Cooper. I have an early live version (as do others here who’ll probably agree!) of the song from 2002, with Keith Baxter on drums, and the song just meanders and plods along - nothing special. The guitars and the lyrics are pretty much the same, but the drumming is a standard beat. Neil totally changed the song with the drumming that you hear on the album, and made it the rocking motherfucker that it is!! :D

You’re talking about the Marktrock show in Leuven, Belgium probably… you’re absolutely right, Neil totally changed the song (for the best!)with this drumming ;)

My favourites are If It Kills Me, Hey Satan, Who Knows and Rust. If It Kills me is definitely my favourite. It’s kind of… great heavy rock, but also kind of beautiful at the same time. Genius stuff.
