Oh, it probably will. I saw them earlier in the year, and they were fantastic. They’ve certainly not lost anything live.
Stuff like Myxomatosis is a lot better live than in the studio, in fact…

I think Helmet split up a few years ago but i’m not sure, there are a few fans here.
There might be a Radiohead remix album next year.

Especially after Shameless and Graham’s departure I thought this would be the end. But although they made a brilliant return with a great new drummer and one of there best albums (HA), I get the feeling the enthousiasm is gone, with both band and audience (judging from the latest WOM reports).
I just hope they make another Suicide pact - You first if you know what I mean.
The Manic street preachers even announced a few years back that they would quit in 2004. So the record they’re currently making will probably be their last.

true, but i fear that after about every gig i see (*mmmm… i noticed that, could that be a reason for a split in the future… mmm… and that…*)
don’t pay much attention to it anymore

true - something really really unique, something totally totally different from what we expect, something therapy?

would be strange. to announce a split a few years before and then indeed also split. don’t know..

I think it’s obvious you haven’t seen 1 show from the High Anxiety tour so far or else you would not make such a comment…
Unless you were in Groningen or Leipzig… and even then they still did a good show I think… it’s just that the other ones were better ;)

They also announced that Know Your Enemy would be their last album a year before it was released, so I wouldn’t take it as gospel. But I think this time it could be true.

Robby, read again: “judging from the latest WOM reports”
I’ve seen a lot of reports complaining about the audience.
And no, I DID see T? during this last tour.

You can not judge a T? show just on WOM reports…
The only way to do that, is to be present at a T? show yourself… what is a good show for person X, could be a bad show for person Y…

Gotta disagree. The concert in Vienna wasn’t the best one I had ever seen.

They split up after their 1996 album “Aftertaste”. Lately there were rumours about a “reunion” gig, which would feature Page Hamilton playing Helmet songs with some guys who had never been in the band. It never happened, though, and I think Hamilton is currently working on a new project called Ghandi.

Helmet are history, and so seem Ghandi. We’ve discussed this here.

Robby, they should put your picture in the encyclopdia by the word “Denial”. ;)
How can you deny how I feel about recent shows?
And should I just dont believe people when they say that the audience reaction wasn’t really good at certain shows?
Let’s make a deal; you think about T? breaking up the way you want to do and I do it my way?

Well, you said one cannot say how he liked a concert if he hadn’t been there. I was at a T? concert this year, which did not take place in Leipzig and was still bad (or let’s say not so good).
So I disagreed with you there.

Another 90’s rock band that i think might split up are Supergrass.

You can’t take a lot of critisism can you?
Anyway, I won’t bother the other readers here anymore with this discussion.
Have a nice day.

It seems that we have a winner in this competition!
According to VISIONS magazine guitarist Dean DeLeo admitted the split in an interview.
