I think you are right on both accounts Ian,my friend said i should read the book instead. The film doesn’t do it justice and she says the book has a great twist ending.

cheers people, i came back to check and you’re all talking about hannibal. it is a good film and i shaln’t spoil it but the ending of the book is different to the ending of the film. that’s all i’ll say. the book is better. anyway, manics millennium gig anyone?

I wasnt too happy with the ending of the book, it seemed too far fetched.

I wish they had played a few more numbers off The Holy Bible but it was a good setlist.

“of walking abortion” was a treat but i’d seen that at v99, they always do “faster”. it was a dead good gig though. my high point was when james came out on his own and did “can’t take my eyes off you”.

I read the book of Hannibal first (very good) then saw the movie at Reading while on acid… can’t remember too much of that. To be honest, I don’t think I could stick watching it too long. But just to make this a nice linked post, earlier on that night I saw the Manics play Archives of Pain, which must be a rare one for them to play live. I’ve seen them live 3 times, and they never disappointed. I’d love to see Die in the Summertime live though…
