I bought the new Machine Head album yesterday and i think its a return to form for them, they are as heavy as ever and there are elements of i guess you could call it prog rock as well.Anyone else heard it yet?

Yeah went out and bought it after seeing them in the ambassador in dublin on halloween night. Fuckin’ brilliant gig, and indeed i would agree “through the ashes..” is a fine album, good songs and very heavy…best metal album i’ve heard all year!

I have it, I think it rocks. I’m not a fan of MH or Burn My Eyes, I only loved Burning Red. But this new album is really a killer.

I always liked ‘Struck a nerve’. played live it melted walls. I think they got a bit up their own arses though.
