I’m thinking about travelling over to Reading to see them play on Friday.

I read in the NME that The Cooper Temple Clause are attempting to beat the bootleggers of new tracks by releasing a free mini live album 48 hours after a gig,you can download the album from their official website.

Anyone else heard the new album?
I was surprised that it’s so good.
Less Oasis-like stuff, more darker atmospheric tunes like the b-sides from the Who Needs Enemies single.
After their disappointing show at the VISIONS Westend festival I thought this is just another hyped up britpop thing, but now I’m gonna give them a second chance ans watch them in Essen tomorrow.

i have the new album and although i agree it is good, i was expecting a bit more from it. i still prefer “see this through and leave” although this may change with more listening to the new stuff. on a better note, they are one of the best recent live bands i have ever seen. :)

I like it. I was worried they were gonna make a play for the teenage-girly market (who seem to constitute a large percentage of their fanbase, dunno why!), but they didn’t.

However, their album doesn’t rock as much as… <see other poll>

This is exactly why I like it alot.
Though live they still do rock. Saw them yesterday and they were fantastic.

@BadKarma Don’t wait for a sale, buy it now. Check out Blind Pilots, the catchiest brit-pop tune I’ve heard for quite a while. If they release it as a single it’s gonna be a hit - at least in the UK.

Whats the DVD like that comes with the album?

Oops, missed that one. So the german edition must differ from that in the UK.

You lucky bastards :)
On the other hand, I wouldn’t buy it even if it were for free.
By the way, I don’t have a dvd player yet, so what’s the use of these special editions?
On the other hand, I’ve got to buy one for Scopophobia, so bring on more of these sets. :)

Well the basic idea of all these ‘special editions’ and ‘limited editions’ is to get all the fans to rush out out and buy the album on its first week of release to get a high chart position.

Anyone who likes TCTC and doesn’t have the “See This Through And Leave” limited edition double album should locate their nearest Music Zone shop - a bargain at £1.97 in the sale!

The normal edition is one of my favourite recent albums so I’m chuffed :)

I thought they’d split up! Seen em live twice and Panzer attack is an awesome song, See This Through And leave is a very average album. Pretty boring I thought.

…who are also brilliant. Essentially the libbo’s before Pipey started playing up and ruining it for the rest of them.

My old band supported them, they were arrogant knobends with a “holier-than-thou-because-our-haircuts-are-awesome” attitude. We pilfered their rider because they refused to talk to us.
