I remember seeing T? for the first time in Glasgow in 1999 on the SP-YF tour. It was at the Garage and it fucking rocked! I remember getting kicked in the face by a crowd-surfer and I didn’t even notice until the next day when everyone was staring at me cos I had a huge black eye:)

Ah the memories. I’m sure Therapy? will rock the Garage this time as well!

If not, then if fucking well should be!!!!

This’ll be my 1…2..3..4…5..oh who cares how many times ‘ve seen them…all that matters is that it’ll be fucking rockin’…

The best gigs from Therapy? in Glasgow that I’ve ever been to was a long long time ago when they played the Barrowlands and it was mobbed…the crowd was mental…and after it i came out looking like it’d been mugged…15 and in the pit…tremendous gig..

And then next gig was when they played The Cathouse (Therapy? playing the Cathouse…a crime in it’s self)…it was my birthday…and it was dinner and drinks…then therapy? madness..despite people getting annoyed from my persistent crowd surfing…and drunkeness…

So if you’re going to gig then see you down the front or at the bar

This’ll be the 4th (?) time I see them in Glasgow. One in the cathouse and the other times in the garage. plus I saw them a few times when I still lived in germany. This will be the best i think though.

(caution: this post contains elements of enthusiasm). Canny wait. The sets have sounded so good on this tour… lots of top T? I haven’t heard live yet… last time I saw them was at the Garage on the Shameless tour which was cool but they just played too little from old albums (other than Troublegum). Lonely cryin only, hes not that kind of girl, Opal mantra (introduced as “this one’s fuckin ancient…”) NOTHING off Infernal Love, NOTHING from before Opal Mantra. So I’m thinking I’ll be enjoying Friday night… Dancin’ with Manson, for gods sake! Also still never even seen them play Potato Junkie yet… Maybe my hopes are too high, but looking at recent sets, Sister, Isolation, Trigger Inside, and the poll winners, Stories, Church of Noise… any of these will put a big smile on my face! But then so would most other songs they’ve done… whatever, here’s to Friday night!!!

I think I’ve seem them live 5 times. Maybe 4. Let’s see. Glasgow on SP-YF tour, then at the Liquid Rooms in Edinburgh same tour, and then Glasgow on Shameless, I think Edinburgh on Shameless and then once more.. probably Glasgow:)

They played Potato Junkie at the Liquid Rooms, I’m sure of it. You don’t forget 2,000 people shouting “James Joyce is fucking my sister!”;)

Was anyone at that gig where Andy got 2 fans up onstage to sing and play guitar during nowhere? How awful was that when that guy was singing Nowhere and all he remembered was the chorus?

I’ve got 1 of Graham’s drumsticks from one of the Glasgow gigs. Had to wrestle it out of the arms of a skinny wee bam with glassses:)

Hope you guys have a good time on Friday. Glasgow gigs are the best.

Title: glasgow review (merged thread)

What a show. I’ve seen therapy? 6 times and this was my favourite show.

1 : I spoke to the merchandise girl about the voodoo doll single. Said she had sold 500 from 2000 copies. My english friends rejoice! Any copies left over at the end of the tour will be sold through the web-site.

2 : The Show. The usual glasgow crowd 900/1000. Andy in fine form. michael and martin were quite quiet.

3: set-list in order.

Nowhere
teethgrinder
nobobdy here but us
straight life
moment of clarity
punishment kiss
sister
rust
if it kills me
turn
dancin with manson
church of noise
potato junkie
stop it your killing me
knives
isolation

it was a good show. how everyone enjoys the rest of the tour.

Title: Correct set list

Yup good point. The correct setlist was:

Nowhere
Teethgrinder
Nobody here but us
Straight Life
Limbo
Who knows
Moment of clarity
Sister
Punishment kiss
Rust
If it kills me
Turn
Dancin with manson
Church of noise
Potato Junkie
Stop it your killing me
Screamager
—————————
Skyward
Die Laughing
Knives
Isolation

What a set. This was my 12th Therapy? gig and the only one to better it was the Barrowlands 1995.

Skyward and Die Laughing were NOT played - the encore was Knives and Isolation only. Andy mentioned at the start of the encore they only had 10 mins left, and asked the crowd whether they wanted to hear Knives or Die Laughing; Knives got the nod.

I’ve seen T? something like 15 times, and they are never short of great. But this was definitely one of the best T? gigs I’ve seen. Punishment Kiss was AWESOME!! Pity we didn’t get Skyward…

Title: Glasgow gig

Indeedie that was the 6th show I’ve been to too & it was definitely one of the very best. I was in the front row, close enough to be sprayed by Michael’s sweat! I was so impressed when they played A Moment of Clarity - don’ think that’s been played on any of the other tours I’ve been to (in Holland Ireland & Scotland). No Misery though.. I guess Andy always forgets the words anyway!! Can’t wait for the next gig!

Awesome gig! One of the best T? shows I’ve been too! As I posted before I thought the last show in the Garage lacked something and was very disappointing. Last night blew me away! I was looking forward to the oldies but the highlight turned out to be Turn - which was awesome!

Fantastic - and a good crowd! The band seemed to enjoy it more than the previous show aswell!

Just like to say keep up the good work you guys…ur still rockin.

The gig was blinding the best T? gig ive been to good too see that u still rock out the old shit.

it has to be said that therapy must be the the only band not stuck up thier own arses. this is because

1. Andy was slagging off christina and brittney and when i shouted out that they take it up the arse andy pointed at me and said yip they take it up the arse. you just dont get bands who interact with the crowd

and

2. At the end of the gig i shook mikes hand and asked him if i could get a pick to which he said hang on a sec and sorted me out with one!

kepp it up ill always be in the crowd at the front givin it big licks.

but why dont you guys come and play edinburgh anymore!?

Good point dude, I just copied my aquired set list. Forgot about the time shortage.

T? played Moment of clarity at T in the park 1995. That is the only time I have seen them play it. It rocked though.

Stampy, maybe they don’t like the venues in Edinburgh. And they can probably sell out venues in Glasgow more easily. Glasgow IS bigger and does have a more happening music scene. Although that is just speculation on my behalf.

They played the Liquid Rooms in Ed twice when I saw them. I actually remember stalking Andy after one gig in Edinburgh with my flatmates. He was swigging a bottle of Jack Daniels outside the tour bus and we went “Andy!” and due to our very inebriated state, he legged it into Espionage and we tried following him. Jesus, we must’ve looked like complete nutters.

Not too sure about them not liking Edinburgh as this gig was originally meant to be in Edinburgh! To be honest I’ve always preferred the Liquid Rooms as a venue. See T? many time sin Scotland and the Liquid Room gigs have been way better IMHO :)

Since they’ve re-done the garage it seems like a lot cooler venue as well. You can actually forget that 15 minutes after a gig the place turns into a scumbag meat-market.
Like the balcony and stripped walls. Much smarter.

oh yeah and it was a fucking good gig. One of the best in my 8.
