i was Very worried about that too especially as they didn’t even mention it, so i did a bit of snooping and it turns out he has a Perforated ear drum! not so sure how bad it is but it looks like he might be out for nearly the rest of the tour.

so if anybody sees him wisper get well to him from me!

Yeah, I was there too — excellent set. Neil was awesome, especially on Punishment Kiss (how was this song EVER dropped from the live set?!) and Dancin’ With Manson. Shame to hear the news about Martin. From what I’ve heard, it’s not going to mean he’s out of the business at all, but that he is in a lot of discomfort at the moment, which I guess, everyone I know who has ever had a perforated ear drum (about three now?!) has been.

Martin was still playing in Glasgow, but he didn’t look all too happy throughout the set and was the only one not in the pub afterwards.

No they didn’t have a stand in (don’t know how they’d manage to get a replacement who knows all the relevant parts at such short notice). Thought it was a bit odd that they didn’t mention where he was though. Poor Martin - ear problems cause so much pain. Get well soon.

There’s a post from Martin in the ‘messages from T?’ forum :)

Do you reckon this means we’ll get the fast version of Diane since no cello?

I wish they’d mentioned it at the gig, I shouted “Where’s Martin?” a couple of times but got no response, and I haven’t been able to look at the boards properly for a bit so I missed that!

I saw T? in Newport last night and having Martin absent didn’t seem to make much difference - in fact it reminds me of when they were a 3 piece.

I had to miss the end of the set though because the last train I could get back to Bristol was @ 00.40 and then I had to spend £25 to get a taxi from Bristol to Bath - an expensive night was had!
