Well I’m a gay woman (really hate the term lesbian)

Must say I’ve found that my gay friends generally have a better knowledge of T? than my straight ones

Yeah Scruffy I’ve heard that term before for lesbians. My final every girlfriend uses it. Ooh, so confusing!

Yours gay friends know more about T? than your straight ones? Where are you hiding these people?!?!?

You’re being selfish you realise. :p

Actually it’s probably just because my straight friends are all rather dull as most of them are accountants. In fact I reckon I’m probably the only accountant who still loves T?

But yes - as unlikely as it seems, apparently there are a few gay people with decent music taste

eh, I’m gay. count me in as here, queer, and a T? fan.

And speaking of straight people, dull or otherwise, most of my straight friends found Therapy? completely unapealing. Mostly, they complained of T? songs not following a typical pop/punk/or metal formula, and found the lyrics too disturbing to listen to. On the other hand, T?’s music has been fairly well-received by my gay and bi friends. Thearapy? pushes a lot of boundaries, both musically and lyrically. So gay/bi people, or anyone who doesn’t fit society’s definition of what they “should” be, might be more receptive to music and art that also defies easy definitions. They would be used to confronting imagery and ideas that would be considered disturbing or unacceptable in mainstream culture. So a prevalence of gays/bis in the T? fan community would probably have more to do with T? fans being open-minded and counter-culture than with sexuality. Or maybe I am waaaay overthinking this.
