I think it got quite a few mentions in the worst T? song threads. Personally my vote goes to CC Rider, though that was a cover. I don’t like Body Bag Girl either though.

it’s not my favourite song by any means, but I do like that 60s sort of thing it has going, and the drums, which somehow make me think of adam and the ants.

er… or something…

Iris might disagree with you there.

Why does everyone always slag off thon Shameless record! It’s much better than people realise. It’s the band in their element, doing whatever the hell they want, and they are all at the peak of their powers.

Love Shameless, but have to say, it’s not that I dislike Body Bag Girl, it just sounds more a fun, throwaway song that was probably written on the spot when they were jamming as opposed to a ‘serious’ T? song.

Love Bowels of Love though, that’s a great song!

I don’t mind it, it’s not their greatest or worst song. It’s a bit Gary Glitter, which is both good and bad. Though I do find when ‘pop’ people look at the back of records and see a track with a name like that, it puts them right off - like ‘Kill The Old, Torture Their Young’ off the first Biffy Clyro album.

Yes I thought about the Gary Glitter thing when I watched them on Shameless, guess it must have been Andy’s bufon haircut and glittery jumpsuit that made me think !! :D

we-ell, Bowels Of Love’s always been my favourite song from Infernal Love :p

Shameless has got some really good tunes, why did they have to leave them behind in the last tour, I wonder!?

I cant really get into the songs on the , if it kills me single, alright it “rocks” but it just aint my thang. I havent listened to all of high anxiety but im gonna buy it anyway just for the point of it being a T? release.
I suppose to you guys this sounds blasphemic, but my sister doesnt think much of it either and i can assure you we both have impeccable taste!
I dunno, perhaps it will grow on me?

Just buy High Anxiety and lock yourself and your sister up in a room for a week and don’t play anything else than HA.
After that, you come back to the WoM and give us you’re review.

I didn’t like HA at once either. I must be the only one on here that didn’t think of it as an instantly brilliant album. However, I listened to it lots and it grew on me immensly. I don’t think it’s my fav T? album, but it is very good and better than a lot of the stuff out there.

shameless is a great album, it just had a little more retro class (before the whole strokes garage punk thing sold out), whilst still keeping that Therapy? sound. like they’d pulled out all their old rock and metal LPs and used tham as inspiration.

i reckon…Ambulance is pure class too, top stuff.

whilst this thread rages on, like a towering inferno, flames licking at the walls, shrouding it in a choking black cloud, weakening its foundations dragging it down……anyways i really like Me Vs You. sooo much atmosphere. i really though that Therapy? had touched upon a great thing with some of the material on Infernal Love, especiall the ‘insanity’ created by David Holmes.

I have to say - I like Body Bag Girl. We played it live a few times and it was great - a nod to sleazy glam rock although it’s meant to be more Iggy Pop (Nightclubbin) than The Glitter Band, with some Rolling Stones Woo Hoo’s at the end (Sympathy for the Devil). We were jamming in the studio one day and decided to swap instruments. It was the first and probably the last time! Andy is playing Bass, Michael and Graham are on guitar and shame of all shame - it’s me on the drums. Dave Lombardi eat your heart out!
