hehehe, Rob may get offered a record deal for his Knives cover when someone hears it on Xfm.
not sure when its on.. couldnt find it on their website.
Definitely… smaller venues… more intimate..
coz the band can actually see everyones responses to what they play.
I believe the reason the first 6 or 7 tracks were so fast and didnt have much talking in between was due to the Extreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeemely long prep work the stage needed before therapy begun.
T? were easily ten minutes later than they should have been.. and rather than chop a couple of tracks.. they went like loonies.. and pulled it off brilliantly.
Neil looked like he was gonna pass out a few times tho!

I had actually opened a new topic since I figured this one would be dated. Duh.
Amazing concert and pretty dang small - even smaller than the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen and I figure some of us know how that one turned out…
But yeah, like the small venues! Camden Lock pub before hand uh? Bugger. Was in Barfly afterwards but left at closing time. When did Andy and Michael appear?
Does anyone know how Diamond Dave is? He mentioned he had got banged and figured he had a cracked rib. Poor fella is getting on a bit I guess…

Poor Dave,
I think a girl’s bag cracked him in the ribs and he looked in agony. Hope he’s feeling ok…

Great night, never thought they would ever play anywhere smaller than Tunbridge Wells, but now they have, fucking excellent. Punishment Kiss and Skyward were a high point for me and of course respect for Robs vocals on Knives. Are they gonna broadcast it on XFM..,? Anyway who cares I taped it so I’ll be reliving very so, thanks for a great night lads, smaller shows rock.

Yeah, I was trying to downplay how the cracked ribs actually occured. Didn’t want him to come off like a mammas boy. Oh well!

What was the snippet of song they played in the middle of Isolation?
Probably She’s Lost Control (also Joy Division) - that’s what they did in Leeds anyway. Curse London for being so far away…

Your right, it was a great gig to finish off the tour and a successful 2003 for the lads. As already said there is something about being at a small venue..;)

Title: Barfly gig rocked
I only just caught up with the boards since the gig.
I had a friend over who doesn´t like rock at all but even she was impressed. They were fantastic that night. I´ve been lucky enough to see them 3 times this tour and each gig was different and better in different ways.
Also respect to Rob for singing Knives!
Anybody know if XFM are gonna broadcast it??
