what’s Martin’s gibson ‘hybrid’ guitar ?

hi everyone, i was asking myself for a long time now what’s exactly the gibson dark green that Martin use during their shows ?

i thought it was a little bit looking like a firebird, but it’s not ! does anyone knows a little more about this guitar ?

At the time they were one of the most expensive guitars Gibson made, the artist series had active electronics designed by bob moog but they sold poorly.

I’ve got an RD Artist bass. It’s ugly, but I love it.

So their idea was to make a guitar that had Moog electronics on it…they bombed spectacularly, and even back then retailed more than a Les Paul :eek:

The funniest thing was the slogan that came with it: “The guitar you couldn’t play, even if you could afford it”
