Wall of Mouths

You know what, we’ve put with a shit load of things from this band, usually consisting of lond DEALYS between albums, drummers like they grow on trees and now this shit. If you guys do anything, get in the fucking studio and use the emotion that your feeling at the moment to get some songs down. I’m loosing my patience with this!

I can perfectly well live the rest of my life not knowing what is the reason for Martin not being a member of Therapy? anymore. It is none of my business. As long as Therapy? keeps doing music the way they have done this far, I will be buying their records.

Some of you seem to think, that because you buy everything that says “Therapy?” on top of it and go see every possible gig, you have the right to know every single detail about everything. That’s really scary. Do the fans own the band? Is a band supposed to do what the fans want them to, no matter what the band wants? Something here reminds me about something that had something to do with the late John Lennon… Perhaps some of you should just go and buy your own tamagochi (if there are any left). There’s a toy that you can do whatever you want with.

Artists do what they do, for whatever reasons they might have. In this case, the artist produces music. If you don’t like the music, don’t buy it, and if you do like it, then buy it. If the changes in the bands line-up bother you so much that you can’t sleep at night, go see a shrink, before you become the next Marc Chapman. The band’s internal affairs are not automatically the property of the fans. If these changes affect the music, then do as I said above: like it -> buy it, and vice versa.

Umm, not too sure I have anything constructive to say, but it seemed rude clamouring for answers and then ignoring you when you responded… (I always sound insincere anyway :p) Any clues you can give us about just how the band’s direction is going to be different? (I know: want want want). Good luck in all things (to all of you)!

Well then, the problem seems to be solved. Although it’s still sad to know Martin is no longer a part of T? anymore, the reason for his leave seems plausible to me.

Cool, sorry if I ever got a little too opinionated about anything I tend to run away a little after a few coffees. I still think you guys killed him though.

Are you guys going to stay a 3-piece or will you considder recruting somebody to fill any possible gaps?

Thanks a lot, Michael, for those explanations. Clearing things really up a little. I think, most people here (myself included) were in shock because of Martin the nice guy, having a kind word for everyone. (And this is the Martin we’ll all miss painfully) Musical differences then aren’t good for any of you guys, and not good for us, the fans. But I’m glad the reason is no longer a mystery.

Don’t cross the line now! Some of the folks on these boards, like our Belgian friend Robby, have been die-hard fans of T? for ages, going to every concert when humanly possible. They all love T? (so do I!), and I can fully understand they were puzzled and wanted some explanation. So maybe it’s you who should lay off, cos I don’t think your accusations are fair either…

i think, if we would have get immediately a better explanation, than just this short note, then there wouldn’t have been all those speculations…

and i think it’s normal, that if things are going on strange, the brain starts working, cause you want to find an explanation for what’s going on, or not…

i also don’t understand what’s wrong, if you want to know what really happens…
i know, some people don’t want to know, and just want to listen to the cd’s and have a good time at the concerts…i think so too, with other bands…but when it’s concerning your most favorit band, for which you care most, isn’t it normal then, if you are expecting an answer?

so now we finally got it…and we can sleep better now. thank you michael.

concerning to writing to the con (and probabaly i should shut up now): as we all had to wait so long here for a reply, why should people would have wrote to the con to ask for…wouldn’t that have been the same result?

However, I can’t help feel that by stating the bands reasons last week, you would’ve prevented some of the perceived ill-feeling and accusations that have appeared previously in this thread. I’m not saying the band had any “obligation” to state anything - it just would’ve been nice, that’s all. ‘Cos I know I was damn worried about what was going on.

Incidently, I’ve never emailed CON looking for freebies.

as for mailing to c.o.n. i agree w/ roxy…and to be honest, i don´t think there would have been an anwer on this matter…i remember when i asked st. about graham after he left T? i received a very disappointing mail (i don´t know who wrote it and i won´t repeat the content here, but maybe this was because my question was none of my business…) why should any of the left T?members reply mails on this topic when it´s much easier to put a statement on the wall of mouth or the website…?!

that’s actually exactly what i was thinking…just didn’t want to say it loud, as it so that you have to be very carefull with saying things loud, which is really hard for me…

I don’t know why you are attacking me all of a sudden… anyway, I agree with a lot of things Mikehell has written, but if he’s honest and takes a look in the mirror, I hope he admits that the original communication done to the fans was pretty poor. And the message he posted today, could have been posted last week as well.

I’ve been going to T? shows for more than 11 years now, that does not mean in any way that the band owes me anything at all. All I asked for (together with almost everyone on this board) was an explanation to at least try to understand why Martin is gone.

Now I know and I think we can only respect this decision. I just hope they did not decide to play hardcore techno from now on because then Belfast will be my last show :D

Still don’t think that T? owed us any explanation on the spot, they were probably already having a tough time even without all the accusations from some of the people on this forum.
