29/10 Cambridge

Just got home from the gig and I’ve got to say it’s one of the finest I’ve seen them do, even considering their track record.

Sorry I can’t tell you a song order but I was half crushed to death at the front barrier.

Started with Fat Camp/Screamager/Turn, then a mixture of :

Not that kind of girl
Stop it, you’re killing me
Die Laughing (dedicated to their bus driver)
Nowhere
Joey (A new song)
Six mile water
Isolation
Church of Noise
Bad Karma
Diane
Suicide Pact

Encore was :

Evil Elvis
?
Where eagles dare
Knives audience singalong (ie. ME)

Probably something I’ve forgotten.

Damn that I can’t get to the London shows.

Cheers to all that were there…

Dan.

i -think- the one after Evil Elvis was new song Wicked Man, but I’m not
sure, cos I couldn’t make it out very well, but they have been playing
it in encores recently.

Nowhere had Breaking the Law at the beginning of it.

Full respect to the kid who got on stage at the end, and went to
shake hands with all the band.

No Teethgrinder or Potato Junkie. Have to say surprised that
they totally ignored all tracks from Babyteeth, Pleasue Death
and Nurse, and only one track from Semi-Detached and one
from Infernal Love (and that was a cover)..

I was at the Cambridge gig, think i have seen them play better before and was a bit pissed that they didnt play much from Semi Detached.
I think the song near the end was a Misfits cover, dont know the title, but the chorus went ‘I’m not a god damn son of a bitch’!

Was anyone else getting a bit pissed with crowd surfers? I know, i used to do it all the time but when u see massive heavy bastards surfing on top of yr head for the 5th time, it gets a tad irritating.

The Misifts cover is Where Eagles dare from the Violent world tribute album. I kinda agree with the surfers bit. Especially the lad in blue shirt, glasses and boots always down.

crowdsurfing is cool, but it pisses me off when people come crowdsurfing and kick you in the head, specially if you wear glasses cos you lose them. RIT RESPECT MAN. still carrying your drumstick around now? and your plectrum and your towel. Anyone know what a noise supressor is used for cos my mate stole one from one of the bands. and did anyone else think dog toffe were shite?

Mowerman, i know musical taste is all about personal opinion, so I’m not going to go into one on this, but i thought Dog Toffee were a really good band. They are similar in style to The Yo Yo’s who were also fantastic.. Dog Toffee were even better last night in Northampton.

I agree with the yo-yo’s bit. Think it’s always hard to judge a band when you don’t actually know their songs, unless something really grabs you (rare).

Respect to ritty. Might come see you play. I live just round the corner.

Kicked in the head? My own fault for being on the barrier…

hope u didn’t get kicked in the head by me. soz if it was. i get real pissed off if people crowdsurf over me and thrash around alot, eventhough i love it myself but i dont kick and punch like some people. i had experience of being on the bar at reading festival for the slipknot set. i’ll never do that again! got so crushed and the crowdsurfers were mental.

cool that u might come and see us.
c ya then!

The Yo Yo’s are amazing. I never saw them support T?, but I bought their album on the strength of hearing one song on a Kerrang! cover CD, and I really really like it. I listen to it a lot. I had the luck to see them at the Garage a few weeks back and they really were cool. The whole attitude of the band — not contrived, pleased to be playing, having a good time, great songs, different vocalists, lots of harmonies, it was brilliant. I remember watching them thinking … if there was one band I wanted to be in right now, that wasn’t Therapy? — it would be this one…

Then at the end of the gig I turned round, saw Ricky Warwick and Andy Cairns right next to me…
