Why wont you play in Dublin this summer? with the current or upcoming tour? Cork yes belfast yes dublin no…why???
I work 6 days a week and I cant afford to take the time off to travel to either of these irish gigs (You know I would if I could) but I was hoping against hope that I’d see a dublin date added…preferbaly in the Ambassador (love that venue)…

Am I labouring in a false hope or will you have a dublin gig?

DD. :(

I appreciate your trauma, however I would point out thats its been about 6 years since T? last played Cork, whereas Dublin gets on average 1 T? gig a year, not to mention loads of other cool bands on a weekly basis. Cheer up man!

Yeah! Im sick of having top trapse up to Dublin every time a band comes to Ireland. With the execption of Therapy about 6 years ago the only good bands to play locally were Pitchshifter, Suicidal Tendancies and Henry Rollins (and they all came within 4 months of each other). We’ve had 4 gigs in 6 years in the south. Give us a break.

I hear ya buddy!!! But I must admit with some of the other posters on here, we have it a lot better in Dublin gigwise than the rest of the country, so it’s hard to begrudge the Corkonians for getting the south of the border gig. It’d be great if T? even played the Temple Bar Music Centre seen as it’s not a tour that’s in support of an album. Ash are playing there in a couple of weeks and they’re aguably, at this stage, a bigger band than T?.

My main gripe is just that by the time T? release new material and play Dublin again I’ll probably have moved back to Spain (the reason I haven’t experienced the T? live experience in many a year), but hey, such is life. Maybe they’ll play Barcelona on the next tour and I can be their city guide

agreed.

it totally sucks that EVERY time a decent band comes here, they play dublin…and of course… it’s nearly ALWAYS during the week, and it’s bloody hard to get time off work every time you want to go to a gig in dublin, it means taking 2 days off. sucks. the amount of gigs i’ve had to miss cos of it. and bad religion playing on my birthday :( A FUCKING TUESDAY :*(

so yeah, it’s about fuckin time we got something down here, being the biggest county n all that!

*no sympathy from me,sorry*

Yes yes yes I see your points about cork being a black hole for gigs but surely on their way down to cork they could mip into the TBMC and blast out a few quick riffs! Sure it’s practically on the way!

SCREW IT I’M CLOSING MY BUSINESS AND GOING TO THE BELFAST GIG! DAMN THE MAN! :P
