That needs jsut to be done one day *g*
That would be just close to a “perfect moment”?
Irishlady should pick one to go out with her *g*
Some bit of bass lessons should make her hungry :)
I think she´ll probably kill me for that!
*lol* i´d never kill you, hon´ :D

What do you mean with “always a substitute for another guy”? I don’t feel I’m a substitude for whoever in my band. so I guess I must be missing the point.
Yeah that just was, cause we were talking about “The Who” and the lyrics of the song “Substitue” have one line “I´m a substitute for another guy” … thats all :)

Twelve strings in what way: four times three or twice six?
This is really frustrating because I can’t remember where I saw/read about his twelve string. Beginning to think I just dreamt it… All I could find was a picture of him with an eight string, but it’s not the one I was thinking of.
Grrr.

There are more of you out there! COME ON!
This is like pulling teeth, but without the accompanying sadistic sense of glee…

Misanthropologist, wake up; talking about tuning in D (well, we did so a short time ago), take a look at the Semi-Detached tabs thread.
@ Hooch: off course you want to play bass! It’s the most underestimated instrument in a band, If it’s there most people don’t notice it, but if it’s not there, you’ll find more than half of the music is missing!!!! Go for it Hooch! (and I’m willing to teach you as well. Misanthropologist will probably agree…;))

Great playing tatty, it reminded me a bit of Flea’s playing on “Aeroplane”. I never learned to slap properly, but I think slapping and tapping should be used sparingly anyway. Still, I’m impressed when someone really masters the technique.

Washburn are OK, I think. At least it’s not a Fender. P-Basses and the Jazz bass are just boring.

So if you look down, you see the points. I think its the only thing you need, cause if you play you look down and not so much on the neck itself, where most basses have their points.
However! Anyone out there wants to give me 2500 for a 5 string status bass? You know that i will be famous some time, and could give you the money back! I think it would be worth it *gggggggggggg*

I’m impressed. I wouldn’t even contemplate buying a fretless guitar. I’m not good enough. What about harmonics? How would they be played on a fretless? Like artificial harmonics? (which I can’t play btw)

Status has frets.
Playing with fretless i think its just a matter of time. You have to play more exact to get the tone you want to hear. Like on the classical “contra bass”. Its a typical sound.
