Oslo, Norway. Gay and lesbian couples are tolerated more here than in Britain, I’d say, but you still have a lof of resentment nd prejudice.
In calvinistic Holland it is tolerated, and what’s more, I think we were the first country to open marriage to couples of equal sex. Last week I found out Berlin is also very tolerant towards gays and lesbians and so is Denmark, I believe. It interests me because my brother is gay and I’m also one of those guys who likes to see two girls having fun together ;)
Hope I didn’interupted your conversation, JS and constance.

Off course it’s fair! I’m from Holland by the way.
Still, even in our country there are groups of people, like the fundamentalist christians, jews and muslims, that oppose to gays and lesbians in ways that are - in my opinion - contradictory to our constitution. Our judges nonetheless still find it hard to sentence these people.

Fundamentalist christians really get my goat (I wish they’d return it as well. I miss him :p) But the christian union here made me laugh. They put up official posters round campus for a meeting of the Christian Unoin. I thought unoins were a thing of the past but apparently not. but seriously how you can believe in the exact word of the bible is beyond me, it contradicts itself so much!
What business is it of them what someone else does? How does it affect their lives? Its their choice to not agree with it but they shouldn’t force their beliefs on other people

Um, well quite a lot. Every life impacts on every other life to a greater or lesser extent, take for example the humble traffic warden…

Do people ‘choose’ to believe stuff? Isn’t it all a bit more inherent? I’m not saying you can’t be actively indoctrinated, but I don’t think people ‘choose’ to believe in a religion, any more than they choose to believe E=MCC.
Oh, and next time any so-called ‘Christian blathers on about e.g. the Bible says homosexuality is an abomination, point out that that’s in the old testament, i.e. the not-really-Christian bit of the Bible. The new testament can be summed up as Jesus says ‘be excellent to each other’.
Non-Christians can be just as bigoted - took a proper Christian to point this out to me.
Be excellent to each other!

Think of Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure as a more off-the-wall ‘interpretation’ than The Passion… after all, they did do a lot of good things… ;)

I don’t really see the crucifiction being quite on the same level with making sure Napoleon is not stuck in mental home or Ghengis Kahn crapping up a sports shop. But yes epic stories both of them.
The Bible gave us Jesus, B&T gave us Keanu. Two stars born.
