Wishes for the next album

Hello

I would like to know which items you would like to have in the next album to feature or to return even. You can mark different items as I’ve made the poll multiple choice.

(Before changing the message boards’ software in August 2007 this discussion contained a poll, which may return in the future)

A proper single. Something that will turn heads again.

Songs like Church of Noise and If it kills me and some of the others were not single material in my humble opinion.

They should have released Hey Satan from the last album I reckon. They should maybe give us the ‘informed’ a chance to vote for the single from the next album. We know best :D

I’d probably go for the dvd, but more singles (therefore more b-sides) would be nice.

Good thread!!!

I’d love a ltd. edition live cd, something official to listen to on the discman on the way to work.

A cover version chosen by the board is intrigueing. Perhaps T? could look into site only releases. On the Henry Rollins site there are some class web only releases available of demos and songs that didn’t make it onto the record label releases. I’d love to get my hands on some of T?’s ‘leftovers’ and/or demos.

I’d like more singles. I think they’ve got a good buzz going atm and the Wildhearts tour certainly hasn’t done them any harm - everyone I’ve spoken to say that T? have blown them off stage every night.

T? are the kind of band that everyone knows, but no-one seems to know that they’re still together. I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve met people who didn’t even know HA was released. A few good singles could make them more popular - I know that’s not supposed to be important, but I’ve never been elitist in my musical tastes. It’d be nice to turn on the radio to hear T? instead of Westlife and it’d be nice to be able to buy their new album at my local shop as opposed to having to go to play.com/

I think something like a new Fan Club-CD would be nice,
only available to the WOMbles that were registred before a certain date and let that be an incentive to join us although I think that we’re a quite good bunch of people together at this moment and that there’s no need for more people on here.

Always room for fresh blood, especially if female and attractive ;)

Another fan-only release would be cool though, as would a ‘secret fan gig’ - I believe there were some circa 1997?

They have them all the time. Weren’t you invited?

For the poll I went for bonus dvd, though all very good ideas. The only thing I’d say is that I’d rather have a cover song as a b-side, and leave more room for original stuff on the album.

I also agree with Joe (can’t find 3ddo ;)).

The DVD idea is ace - there is no reason why all bands can’t do it - all bands have this kind of material done anyway and have archive footage lying around - and the production costs are so low - I would pay and extra quid every time for a band that put out a decent package!

The only thing I want on the next album is Therapy? having fun again, something that got a little lost since “Suicide Pact - You First” (or “Bad Karma…” & “Fat Camp” for that matter). The last two albums sounded a bit as if Therapy? were just doing their job without “smelling blood” anymore.
So, what I hope Therapy? are gonna do next is whatever they feel like doing. Because if they are having fun it’s no matter where they go, it’s gonna kick ass!

I’ d go for the bonus dvd.

A cover song chosen by wombles would be nice (if not on record, then at a forthcoming tour), but I’m afraid Hooch would manipulate the results to hear T? play a JT song.

Hey d,

I also think any covers should be b-sides. I know Therapy? had covers on their 2 best-selling albums (Troublegum and IL), but I think the band are on a roll at the moment and cover songs means less original material.

And damn you for finding HA in your local shop. I had to raid every record shop in Oslo for Scopophobia (“Scopo what? Therapy? Are they still together?”) until I saw the light and used play.com/ The only downside was having to wait a week for it to arrive :(

Sounds good. Everything. Well, I could live without a down-tempo song, but everything else… But allroy’s right. Hooch would manipulate the poll for the cover song just to hear Andy singing ‘Senorita’. ;) Personally I would manipulate the poll only to hear the guys doing ‘Sanctuary’ by my only master Uncle Dr. Alice. :D

Think my invite got sent to Rob Halford by mistake :(

A dvd of an after-show party, showing exactly what goes on when ‘there’s nobody here but’ err, them. And their friends. But would probably be lots of just sitting around, politely drinking tea (hang on, no, that’s MY life…).

Was talking about Parky earlier, since he’s quit the beeb we decided we’re gonna get a public access quizshow on cable with him doing different things every week; Parky’s Porkies, in which contestants have to decide when he’s lying; Parky’s Porkpies, in which you have to guess how many porkpies he can eat; Parky’s Porky Porkpies, is he lying about how many porkpies he’s eaten?; Parky’s Parking, to guess which parking space he’ll pull into… this went on for a very long time…
