did anyone else go to the wolverhampton wulfrun hall last night? if not you missed a damn amazing gig. they absolutely blew the other bands away. i only bought my ticket to see therapy? play, but we thought we’d stop and watch a bit of the wildheats set.we left about 20 mins into them!

oh, and andy broke that red sg of his. that upset me, i would have gladly recieved it in its original state.

i cant remember a lot of the songs they played for you set list type folk out there, but i dont think they played anything off infernal love. i dont know why, i love some of those songs.

Hi dave, I was there last night. Therapy just rocked, first time i’ve seen the Wildhearts too and they were rather good. I got quite a few pictures of it all and a couple of 15 sec silent movies of them both. I would upload them if I had somewhere to do that.

Title: re: Wolvo

Hi (Long-time viewer, first-time poster)
I have to say, of the 4 times I’ve seen T? that was easily the best! Completely blew me and my mates away! The crowd was loving it, and the band were clearly buzzing off it - Andy certainly was! By the time he smashed his guitar (!) I was into a state of apopleptic joy!
Nice to see Dancin’ With Manson and Stop It… in there, and the cunning insertion of a bit of She’s Lost Control into Isolation was cool (A Joy Division medley - not something you hear every day). Would have been nice to get one of these fabled new songs but there you go. I can understand why there’s a predominance of the older material in the set for this tour: a- because they’re back to a 3-piece and haven’t had much chance to work up anything from the ‘Martin years’ for that format, and b- because they’re looking to re-snare people who haven’t seen them in the best part of ten years. And I think it’s working - certainly did with the guys I was with. One of my mates who I went with is a complete Wildhearts obsessive, and even _he_ came out of the gig saying T? blew them off the stage. Going back to being a trio seems to have really re-energised them.
Roll on the next headline tour. Viva Therapy?!
Later,
Stevie

Its pretty unusual for a band that has been around as long as T? to play as support so I can understand why the material is based from the album that everyone knows them for!

It just makes sense…

Another first time poster here. Couldn’t resist passing comment on the Wolves gig.

I’ve seen the mighty T? ten times now and, in my opinion, wednesday night easily ranks as a top 3 appearance. In some ways it was maybe the best. I’m 25 now and it reminded me so much of the first time I saw them next door at The Wolves Civic in 1994. All credit to the boys for piling as much material as possisble into a shorter than normal set time.

As for the Wildhearts. I expected an anti-climax after seeing T? - a bad attitude maybe as the Wildhearts are a top band. I wasn’t disappointed. Nita Nitro made my night - in addition to T? playing Nowhere, Teethgrinder and Die Laughing consecutively of course.

All in all a 10/10 night!
