Sweet! My expectations have been confirmed. My mate in Edinburgh told me it was like “watching Metallica support a Croatian Status Quo-covers band. Therapy? were fucking brilliant - the Wildhearts were scally rock”.

Title: Newcastle (merged)

Anyone go last night? A pure blinding performance from T?

They did the whole set based on audience requests and they seemed to love every minute of it - as did the crowd.

Andy even came out into the crowd to watch Wildhearts.

Potatoe Junkie
Knives
Trigger inside
Satan you rock
Church of noise
Teethgrinder
Isolation
Screamager
and others I can’t remember at this moment.

Ooops, I just started a Newcastle thread - didn’t see this one.

Wildhearts are one of my favs, but Therapy? seemed to have the edge on them tonight. Maybe coz I’ve seen the Wildhearts loadsa times they seemed a bit “samey”.

Therapy? blew everyone away!!!!

Was he standing at the back or jumping around & was he chatting with fans? Just from the pov of wondering if he’ll be around to say hi to at London on Monday

We were only there ourselves coz everybody needed a breather. I saw him coming past me, shouted Andy and told him it was a blinding set. He shook my hand (well he didn’t have much choice really), thanked me and moved on. Others went over to him and he happily chatted.

Saw Andy outside aswell, by his tour bus. Told him to come back to Newcastle soon and he said definitley. Someone asked about immediate plans and he mentioned a new album.

Col, when you seen andy before he got on the bus, was he carrying stuff and talkin to a bigish lad?

No, he wasn’t carrying anything, but there was another lad there. I never really took much notice, but I think he was tallish big rather than body builder big. I only remember checking if it was Michael or Neil, which it wasn’t.

Was it you?

There was 4 of us, one was a lass who was well pissed (only our driver wasn’t) and had been talking to Andy earlier. We couldn’t shut her up all the way home!!!!

As we were leaving I said to Andy he must come back to Newcastle soon and he said yes, definitley.

Did you have much crack with Andy?

Just a little, just asked him if he listened to our E.P coz our drummer gave it to him on stage the last time they were up here, he said he did..which is nice.
Spoke to neil for a while outside when the mildfarts were on.
I think the girl with you were with might have been called lisa??

Yup, that’s her - Lisa (ginger hair). She was made up coz Andy remembered her from inside the gig.

Trouble is that she never shut up about it and was also arguing all the way home that Neil is bald as a coot.

Looks like we interrupted your head to head with Andy.

Not a bad nite for me, spoke to Andy twice, shook hands him and also got Stidi from Wildhearts drum stick.
