Fuck, we must’ve had at least 30 members by now… but then, Iron Maiden had about 50 before their first album so we’re doin’ OK!
I guess the problem is finding members who can commit full-time to a band that can’t pay them (yet)…
We get the gigs by always being available, cheap and good.:D

This you aiming to have a full time line up then?
Thats the Yer Maw dream too, just missing a drummer.
Fantastic Interview on the Bruce Dickinson show btw.
Do you want the mp3s of it and the tracks for your website?
Hopefully see you in Glasgow some time soon.

We’ve wanted a full-time line-up for AGES but it’s hard.
David Lee Roth said it best:
I think the break point, the tipping point rather, comes when your parents start threatening you with “You’re going to have to feed and clothe yourself with your music as soon as you graduate.” And that’s enough to scare off most folks. Most of the kids who pick up an instrument will probably put it down - in terms of a profession - at that singular point in time. You’ll stare into the abyss and you’ll be kind of at the mercy of whoever is in your hometown. Who are the other faces in the town who are ready to commit, you know? The Van Halens lived across town and they had already made the commitment - they had decided they were gonna be lifers in this game. I did, and ultimately I think it’s the same for any band because you have to make that decision. Your wife, your mother, your father, your probation officer - they’re all gonna lean on you hard. If there were ten musicians in your graduating class at senior school, maybe one will go “I’m willing to take the BS.”

Thats very true Andy. I get lots of grief because i used to have a career just like yourself. Being a Restaurant Manager is not a gig or rehearsal friendly job though because it required me being there 90% of waking hours.
Giving everything up and following a dream can teach you a lot though, if you can learn to live within your means then you have a chance. I have learned not to expect any money for myself ever. As long as there is electricity, noodles and food for my cat then things are ok.
Now all we need is a bloody drummer so we can work on the multitude of tracks that are unknown to everyone except Mark and myself. There are probably 2 albums worth of material and we are recording one album soon but if we get a regular setup then the next album shouldn’t be too far behind and we can finally sort out that Dangerfields/Yer Maw tour sponsored by MD 20/20.
You are kinda lucky because guitarists and bassists are easy to find but drummers are too rare at the moment.
Perhaps we should combine both bands. lol

Hey, caught you guys supporting T?, and I’ll probably see you supporting The Misfits (fuckin’ yes!- Marky Ramone and Dez from Black Flag as well, COME ON!). You guys played a damn good set, and it was probably the loudest thing I’ve ever heard to boot!
By the way, did you guys record in Einstein studio in Antrim, because I think I heard Frankie mention you when my band were recording there…
