Turn - in my local, last year!
Slayer - Ozzfest 2002
QOTSA - Slane 2003

I have also seen Metallica, Chilli Peppers, Maiden, Deftones, Soundgarden, Tool etc, but nothing compares to the smaller shows (with the possible exception of Slayer at Ozzfest - that Dave Lombardi is a drumming genius!)

One of the few advantages of old age. I also had tickets for their ‘94 tour (for the Dortmund show), anyway.
I’ve even seen them in August ‘91 (before Nevermind was released) and it was absolutely mindblowing:
It was at a festival in Cologne and they were late on their way from Reading due to heavy traffic in the Netherlands (damn Dutchies :) ), so they only played for 30 minutes (that’s why I didn’t list that set in my top 5), followed by a solo acoustic performance by Bob Mould playing even Hüsker Dü song. After that half an hour of relaxing Dinosaur Jr again blew our heads off. Sonic Youth then finished the evening with an absolutely boring performance.

Aaaah, sweet memories…

If you think, they were shit… lucky You. You never had to see Guano Apes live. :o :o :o Even the support band was more interesting, though they introduced themselves “Hi, we are a straight rock’n’roll band. Well, guano is penguin shit, and that says a lot about it. I was so bored I started singing other songs.
