your claim to celebrity musical fame…

#

Started by not_that_kind_of_guy (a story on the radio)

after rocking roxy’s magnificent news of going to a meet and greet with metallica i just wondered what other people can use as their claim of having met a musical celebrity.

i’ve never really met any musical band type people but i did talk to jonothan ross about a year ago when blur played the astoria and even though he was wearing a rediculously garish green suit, he was a very nice bloke. i even bought him a pint. also, he is rediculously tall in reality.

I saw him in Namco Station a couple of months ago, he was thinner than I was expecting, and his wife was shorter.

Hmm, have met quite a few people - highlight was clearly talking to Bruce Dickinson at the Belfast gig :D

Who else? S*M*A*S*H, Mansun, The Driven, Shed7, Death In Vegas, Wildhearts, Skunk Anansie, Schtum, Blaggers ITA…

And I get drunk and make a tit of myself in front of T? occassionally too :)

Nothing wrong with the right one (I’m guessing) but there has to be a second place.

Paul McCartney called me “a bloody good bass player,” once.

i used to set Neil’s kit up now and then, as well.

sadly, most of you lot probably think the latter is more impressive than the former. :)

hehehe :)

Interessting topic …

Most tits are not equal to each other …
So i just prefer both together … *g*

And the men testicals are not equal too … Mostly the left one is a bit smaller and doesn´t “hang around” *g* as much as the right one (from the man´s point of view) *g*

Well you all wanted me to say that … I have to meet the requirements of my image!!!!!!!

As for the poll

You you really want a poll, if the left or right tit is the best?

well back to topic than: i really didn´t meet anyone interessting … Well once i spoke to the bass player of “nada surf” *loooooooool* Remember the song “popular?” i really like them back then … but now i really do think, that they are shit!

I think hoochalover’s tits are equally nice.

I’ve met:

Jerry Springer back in ‘99 in London when he was doing a book signing. I met Steve, his bodyguard too.

Tenacious D when I interviewed them last year. Great guys, funny as fuck. I knew more names of lead singers of Black Sabbath than Jack Black

hell is for heroes twice when I interviewed them last year. Again cool guys, very approachable, not big-headed or anything.

“A” at an instore signing in 2002. Got a Starbucks cup signed.

3 Colours Red for an interview last year.

Echoboy when they did an studio session for the radio station I worked for.

Andy and Michael from Therapy? while watching the support band Clutch’s set at a Therapy? gig in 2000.

Very interesting topic. Does it mean the more ‘famous’ people you meet the more interesting you become? Does it have to include a chat or does shaking hands or seeing someone from very close count too? I met the drummers from Death, Within Temptation, Gorefest and Paralysis, the singer from the Fun loving Criminals, Gravel and the one and only Dominator. Shaked hands with James from Metallica and saw the old King of Belgium (long long time ago)!

I’m sure he does count.

Especially if he’s working in a chippy, counting out peoples change all day.

Afterall, it’s rudimentary stuff that they teach to young kids in primary school.
