At the Newcastle gig T? played a set made up from audience requests (see post in live section).

Anyone ever seen this before?

To my knowledge, there has never been a setlist made up of audience requests only. Sure, they let the audience choose between two songs every know and then, but an entire set?? And of course there was the poll of last year’s Fall tour, where four (?) songs were chosen by the WoMbles from a list of so-called ‘obscure’ songs selected by the lads themselves.

One time, years ago, Pearl Jam made a concert and decided the songs to play by speaking to the first lines of fans…

Title: Neat.

I have heard of some cool ideas in the past. Elvis Costello did a tour once in that he had a wheel that he could spin and whatever it landed on they played. Same with a dart board. Its nice to see the bands diggin into the archives for stuff. Fan requests can get odd..if its too obsure the band “wastes” a song for one person..rather than gaining new fans or getting to what the majority of the audience is familiar with.

Yeah, we were shoutin for ‘Breakin’ the Law’.
But, Andy said they ‘don’t play it anymore coz it stirs up bad memories for Michael coz Rob Halford shagged him up the arse!!’…happy days!
