Title: US tour in 2005. (merged)
First off, I have read posts on this site for about 2 years but I have never posted. I do not post much anywhere. I have listened to T? for 10 years and was cemented to them in 1996 at a concert in Regina, Saskatchewan Canada. Ever since they have been my favorite band. Unfortunately for me the opportunity to see them live again was very slim.
But according to a link on 93x.com, there was a qoute from Ginger from the Wildhearts, another favorite band of mine, that they would like to headline a tour of the US in 2005. He expressed interest in bringing T? with them. Ginger was quoted in saying that as The Darkness has done for them, bringing them on tour in the US, they would like T? to come with them on a tour in Jan. 2005.
I would have to believe that this would be my best chance to see my 2 favorite bands play. Even if they do not go to Canada, I would travel to see this show anywhere in North America.
Take care, and wierdly my fav T? song is Bad Karma, not many people choose that song.
Thanks.

Title: USA Tour (merged)
I just read on the wildhearts website that the wildhearts will go on tour of USA with the darkness again in June, and in Gingers words
“Then, in January, we will head back to USA for our first headline tour, and with luck we can bring Therapy? along, carrying on the tradition that The Darkness have set down, namely helping out your mates and not being a selfish, pocket-lining cunt”
This was posted by ginger on the 16th of May, so I presume he means next January.
It would be an awesome oppurtunity for T? to tour USA if it comes off. Knowing the wildhearts they will probably split before then anyway.

Try to listen to the whole CD and not to think a bit too much about everything and I’m sure you won’t switch off the radio the next time you’ll hear them. I love T?-lyrics but sometimes a bit more relaxed, optimistic and more shallow lyrics can be good as well.

I personally am as excited as I can be about the possiblilty of T? touring the US with The Wildhearts. I know it had no bearing on the possible decision, but I had a nice chat with Ginger when they came to DC with The Darkness and told him I really wish I could make it over to the UK to see the 2 of them tour together, and also said it would be cool to see them together here. I guess only time will tell.

I started listening to T?(all those years ago) because they had something different to offer, they weren’t trying to be something they sooooooo clearly were not, no gimics, they tried to push music forward not re-hash something that was fairly shite in the first place!!

Isn’t there a perfectly good Darkness site for this kind of thing?

I really don’t think that therapy? would do a u.s tour with the wild hearts in 2005. I asked neil about it, and chances are quite slim actually.
As for the darkness issue, I don’t really mind them, i can listen to their music no problem [even if i love old rock from the 60s, 70s and 80s aswell as the 90s.] It’s just Justin’s voice that i couldn’t stand, He sounds like a woman! I think Andy has actually met him according to neil.
But like i said, it isn’t likely that Therapy? would do a u.s tour, but we’ll see.

I thought that he sounded just like the lead singer Dexy’s Midnight Runners, Kevin Rowland was it? I heard a Darkness song on the radio and though that it was DMR first…

Then I read it’s just hearsay, probably won’t happen, sad. Then the ass clowns, that I can’t escape, The Darkness, (kudos on calling them The Fartness, I’m going to steal that line from you), I’m seething with anger now. They have to be one of the worst bands ever.

Negative effect you mean … :(
Touring with a crap band means you have “crap”, fans as well there … Whoever goes to watch the Darkness must be really really… hmmmm i can’t find the word … But surely is a bad one…
If T? would tour with these clowns I have to admit that I would lose confidence in them … I think T? have always been careful of who they may tour with…
THE FARTNESS SUCK BIG TIME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Intolerance can be harmful, stating your view that a band is shit is not.

The Darkness have their audience now. I think they’re ok, why not? I don’t think we have to hold a grudge against those guys. Therapy? have had their five minutes of fame and it turned out to be not so healthy for them.
I don’t like the thought of T? supporting Darkness as well, but more to the fact, as those little punks coming to see Darkness (and have no idea there was a time when all bands looked like that *g*) will be hopelessly overextended with Therapy? And let’s face it: T? will hopefully still be kicking ass when Darkness will be another stain in music history, huh?

I seem to be missing something here after reading the thread through a couple of times and also through gingers words again (which I posted along with others), nowhere has it mentioned that T? will tour with The Darkness, the original story was that the Wildhearts are going back to the US to do a headlining tour in 2005 and would hope to take T? along with them.
