The DJ Shadow influence really intrigues me i wonder if the new album will have a techno element like the early releases did?

Going by the description it’s almost certainly gonna be amazing isn’t it?.I just hope, as suggested, it is more of a progression rather than a straight rock record like HA.I find i get more longevity from albums that are a bit awkward, weird or experimental and think T? maybe need to come out with something more out of the leftfield. As for a drum’n’bass influence, has no one noticed the chorus drumming on ‘Not In Any Name’?, or that DJ Shadow cover from way back when?

Its good to find someone else who hates that kind of typing as well, I hate people who txt, whats wrong with vowels. I personally enjoy using all the vowels.

September. Probably the month when I can take my “summer” holidays. Sounds like I should plan nothing else but hearing the new album again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again …

So september is THE month of the truth… I hope that I can get a great birthday gift from the guys on september 28th.

That would be a somewhat fantastic present. Guys, please go against the grain and release the album on a Tuesday instead of a Monday…

Star Wars (the original trilogy) is out in September as well. Which is nice.

I’m going to be away most of the month, but will be back for the glorious 28th… It really is the best time to release the new album.

Can we assume that there will be a tour to promote it? Fucking hope so!

Originally written by the Evil Priest:
..we listen to (in no particular order)…Rush, McClusky, Killing Joke,Botch,George Harrison,Murder Inc, Keelhaul, Dj Shadow…amongst others.

If I’m forced to make a comparison I’d call it a cross between “Punishment Kiss”, “Neck Freak” and “Badmotorfinger” era Soundgarden.

.i think this record (if we do it right) will be unlike any recent rock album you’ve heard.

Ohboyohboyohboyohboy!!!
News are getting better and better.
It’s only about four months to the scheduled release, but any audio glimpses would be very welcome.
I mean that’s the least you guys could do after these mouth-watering announcements.

I think Mclusky is the best influence for Therapy? They should go in that noisy direction. It would certainly suit them.

Andy/Michael/Neil,

If you could have the album gift wrapped and delivered for my 30th birthday on the 10th (given you stick to the September release month) I’d be most pleased. Thank you.

I saw Mclusky a couple of times when I lived in Cardiff. Its really odd that they’re successful now.

The album is alright. nothing special.

why is it odd? and what album are you referring to?
“Mclusky Do Dallas” was great and the new one has some very good songs, too.

Anyway, the closest Therapy? ever got to sounding like Mclusky was on “Tramline”. At that time Mclusky hadn’t even released an album, yet.
