T?-shirts at Download 2004

#

Started by needsometherapy

Well… they were not many …

My Khaki High Anxiety was one, my “I hate everyone …” on my friend was the second, a black High Anxiety of another friend was a 3rd and an Irony one that I saw in the distance was the 4th… 100,000 people 4 T? t-shirts …

And I am asking:

1) Noone from here went?
2) Are T?s shirt a bit old fashioned and people don’t like to wear them?
3) Am I going blind?
4) Why the fuck T? where not there?

P.S. Respect to Pennywise and Machine Head. For me they were the best live sets I have seen for a while…

I never really see the point in wearing a band t-shirt to a festival if the band arn’t playing, but maybe thats just me.

Saw machine Head in Belfast last week, they where fucking awesome, on Par with T? as the best live act i’ve seen in a long time.

I saw quite a few - although I wore my Master of Puppets and a Police shirt for the days bands were on… besides - my T? shirts are all either too small or are long sleeve - and in the heat, that aint a good idea!

1)I didn’t go
2)Most people probably have no idea who T? are.
3)No i don’t think so unless you got someone else to type and post this topic for you.
4)Maybe next year.

I was rushing because we were running late and so grabbed the nearest clean shirt, got to the M1 before I woke up properly and realised I’d put my Pitchshifter “Fuck All Boybands” shirt on and not my “Hey Satan” shirt. Too late to go back by then. Next time…

Well from the answers I get (especially the one that people would wondet who T? are) this is very depressing I have to say. If “we” the fans, don’t promote T? as much as we can, how can we expect them to play big festivals again? 1993 Donnington was going wild when T? supported Metalicca … Why not again ???

Personally i ALWAYS wear a t-shirt of a band that is not on the bill. Never been to a T? gig with a T? short on … always someone different …

COME ON PEOPLE !!!! T?s power is their fans !!! Lets get our boys back to the spotlight !!!!!

I usually see one or two other T?-shirts on nearly every concert I’m at. Try to talk to one wearing it and you’ll find out, it’s the shirt of a friend cause the Marilyn Manson shirt is in the laundry. For crying out loud. :(

a) Not if they are Thai lady boys
b) It’s the fake moustache and shades that do it for me.

Hey - when the T? merch people do a fat bastard size I will quite happily wear one!

it seems that the tshirt people are making shirts smaller and smaller - and its not just me thats getting fatter (I have some shirts that I have had since i was about 18 and they fit fine)

When you are 6’2 and have enjoyed one too many BBQ’s they look like they have been painted on!

and as motorhead and metallica are on the bill amongst others I think it will fit damn fine.

LOL :) I nearly fell out of my chair reading that. I’m beginning to worry what living in Amsterdam is doing to you, young man. Haste ye back to Scotland. Have you seen that episode of I’m Alan Partridge with the Thai ladyboy porn in it?

I had 2 Therapy? t-shirts, but I left them with my ex-gf which means Oxfam has them now.

Going by over here in belfast i think ‘rock’ music in general was popular during Therapy?’s Nurse/troublegum era, hence a lot of chain stores sold band T shirts, i remember buying a few cool Therapy? T shirts in virgin megastore, but now i have only seen one Therapy? shirt and that was some crap looking bootleg in a shop in bangor a few years ago. But asides that from what i see you cannot buy any Therapy? t shirts anywhere asides the merchandise section of this site and of course gigs. Is this the same everywhere? I think its a bit of a bummer, but hey they are only t shirts.

You haven’t missed anything here in austria. The whole thing was badly organized and the prices were way too high. for example: 3€ for 0,4 litres of warm beer? wtf was that supposed to mean??

As a matter of fact I was only there to watch motorhead and metallica. Sadly enough, I got disappointed. Motorhead had the worst sound of the whole festival and were sooo damn loud. (ok, I know they are ‘louder than everything else’ ;) ). Metallica also sucked in my eyes, the setlist was just pure shit: 2 songs from st. anger and in addition to that all songs came from the albums up to the black one, only exception was ‘fuel’. no, that wasn’t my cup of tea.

and now to the t? shirt count: I saw exactly two. mine included.

All in all: 2 wasted days plus lots of wasted money.

I’m sure I saw at least 3 more as well.
