my grandad just died

#

Started by ratamahatta

my grandad died at leicester royal infermary this morning. problem is(apart from the obvious) he started of at the glenfield (in leicester) and was totally fit and healthy, 2 days later he had a huge flesh eating infection on his face. so after 3 operations (2 to remove the infection, 1 tracheoscapy - none of which he was supposed to survive) he died this morning. apparently it was peaceful, and the staff were with him, but i cannot control the amount of anger i have for the Glenfield - it’s driving me fucking insane! i mean, infection like that just don’t “appear” after 2 fucking days! ESPECIALLY not in a cunting hospital!

if that made no sense - soz!

Sorry to hear about that, its never good to lose someone

unfortunately hospitals are ideal places for infections to breed. Warm and clean. All it takes is for a cleaner to miss one spot.

My grandad dies last summer from a stroke so i know how you feel about losing someone, and like WP said hospitals are very common places to pick up infections.I once had to take a friend to casualty and i was in the waiting room bored out of my skull for three hours watching CITV and i’m convinced i caught the cold there.Because afterwards i started sneezing and had a sore throat.

Just go with the flow, and let your emotions go. Don’t fight your tears, but let the sorrow out.
I did this on my father’s funeral, after I spoke a few words on how I would remember my dad, and it helped. The worst thing you can do is hold back your sorrow.

I wish you strength and comfort, my friend!
