Pitchshifter

#

Started by rickman

Is any one else excited about the fact that Pitchshifter have temporarily reformed for a short tour?

I think Pitchshifter are an excellent band and much like T? have always challanged both themselves and their fans. Live they are a real head rush and along with T? and Terrorvision one of the few bands I am willing to suffer broken bones and bruises for by getting right at the front and pogoing til I’m sick.

I can’t wait to see them in October at the Astoria and bounce around to WYSIWYG, Genius, Microwaved, Please Sir,8 Days and Un-united Kingdom. :D

Only hope the mighty T? don’t tour at the same time and I miss one of their gigs.

Yeah… I love the last couple of pitchshifter albums. I’m not too keen on their old stuff, but its ok.

I only saw them live once, and I hadn’t heard of them at the time, so didn’t pay much attention, so i’m pretty excited about it, really :)

Pitchshifter are awesome live, I think their studio albums don’t do them justice, definatly a better live act.

Interestingly, Therapy? covered one of Pitchshifters tunes on one of those “tribute to…” CDs, where a bunch of bands covered some old pitchshifter tunes. I saw it in HMV, but couldn’t justify spending £18 or whatever on it.

Im going to see them at the Astoria as well. Can’t wait to see them again. Saw them in Nancys in Cork a few years ago and they blew me away. Hopefully T? will be playing around the same time in London so I can get them in as well

Its a real bastard when HMV have something relatively rare but charge an absolute fortune for it!

Never heard of anything like that. I only know of the Diable remix.

Well, i definately saw it. I even picked it up and considered buying it, until I noticed the price.

The cover was mostly just black with yellow writing, but it was months ago that I saw it. I can’t seem to find it online now, though.

Thats the one. I forgot it was called “remix war”, which is probably why I couldn’t find it ;)

Good that this was it, means I don’t have to go searching to get it. But 18ł for a mini album is ridiculous. You can get it at amazon for ł8.99.

Nice, Pitchshifter reforming for more gigs! Seen them 4 or 5 times live and they have never failed to disappoint, like a certain known band from Northern Ireland ;)

Looks like I will be going to the Pompey Pyramids gig.
