T? on ‘Headbangers Ball’

#

Started by Egon Spengler

Just became aware that they hosted the show sometime back in the mid-90’s.Any clues on what they did? were they just sat in a studio choosing video’s etc? If so what did they play?

It’s unlikely anyone still has this outside of the band, but i’ll ask anyway considering it seems detail on this is rather vauge

I might still have T? presenting 120 Minutes on MTV from about 1995/6 or something, but never saw them on Headbangers Ball.

Well, I put something called a “Video-cassette” into this ancient device called a “VCR”. This is basically a device for recording moving pictures and sound from the TV.

Once this “recording” was completed I could watch the pictures as often as I wanted.

Hehehe. I have to have a look if I’ve still got it.
I remeber them introducing Ash on it and playing some Joy Division. This was back in the days when MTV1 was a cool channel and still had plenty of rock. Not just Cribs, Britney and pish “Comedy”.

Title: Therapy? on Headbanger’s Ball

I know what you’re enquiring about, because I SAW THE SHOW MYSELF. It was shown on Sunday night with Andy and Michael presenting the show. It was a good show, but I didn’t have the video in the living room to tape it. I also remember the boys drinking as well, not that I was surprised.

If anything, it proved the boys can cross over to the metal audience as well as the indie crowd all over Europe (as MTV was at the time).

Having read the other replies on this matter, someone got it right when they said that MTV ‘used’ to be a good channel. I remember those days well, cause MTV hardly play music these days, now dedecated to arse-kissing celeb shows (and coming to think about it, MTV2 isn’t up to much either. They don’t play our favourate band for a start).

Enough, and glad to share the memories.

Yeah, that show with T? was from about October/November 1994 - they played the original video for Isolation, which I don’t think has ever been broadcast since.

Andy & Michael also presented “An Afternoon With Therapy?” on MTV. This was in Summer 1995, Michael had blonde hair. Good times, man, good times :)
