Longest stretch of hic-ups.

#

Started by Krisken

Ok, I’m going through hell. I used to laugh when the Simpsons aired and that episode where they interview some guy who’s had the hic-ups for days keeps saying “hic-up kill me” over and over. Well, day 2 (yes, 2 FULL days) and I have the hic-ups. When did this start? The day after I got my Wisdom teeth pulled (all 4).

So I have to ask… is this normal? Is this a side effect of eating nothing but jello, pudding, bananas, and shakes? ‘Cause I gotta tell ya… if this goes on for 36 days, I’ll be repeating exactly what that cartoon character said on the Simpsons.

I can’t wait for real food.

I think there’s a bloke (he’s in the Guinness Book of World Records) who’s had continuous hiccups for decades.

I’m guessing that’s not really what you want to hear, however! :o

Having the hic ups for full two days one would assume all those little recipes didn’t help. :(

I recently saw a programme featuring this dude who’s had the hic-ups for years now, and they can’t do anything about it! That must suck! I’ve never had it for more than half an hour, it mostly happens when I’m really drunk.

By the way, having all four of your wisdom teeth pulled out must be HELL! I have had them removed a couple of years ago, but I had 2 pulled at one time, not 4. I can imagine it must be hell for you!

OK no one undrerstands what I mean when I say this but, try to force a hiccup! It works everytime for me! Just go “huh” forcing air out from your chest as you say it!

Oh, thank christ, they stopped! Last night I somehow fell asleep and now they are gone. To be honest, I think it’s the food that’s causing them. Thanks everyone for the sympathy! :) I tried all the home remedies yesterday, but to no avail.

Yeah, having all four wisdom teeth pulled wasn’t a blast either. Only one of them is puffing up at all, and I’m hoping that in the next two days the swelling will finally go down. I dread an infection (since that’s what sent me to have them removed in the first place). I can’t even describe the throbbing hell of an infected jaw.

Things are looking up though!
