I doubt there’ll be more than 10000 people. It’s such a shitty lineup I can’t imagine anyone gong there for the whole three days.

On the Festivalplaner site they say that a crowd of 7000 is expected.
So T? will probably play to only 2000 people late at night.

- you wouldn’t feel guilty when listening to Metallica
- you wouldn’t spend your valuable time trying to buy some Belgian beer for a German (I bet you just collected ten empty Belgian beer bottles and fill them with German beer to impress my sense of taste)
- you’d be a better man :D

I don’t feel guilty at all my friend when I listen to Metallica… and about those beers: I challenge you to drink them all at once, let’s see who’s the man then :D

See you next Saturday ;)

When will you be there on Saturday? We think about arriving at around 6pm.
And how to recognize each other (maybe I should wear a ‘Touch me I’m Mr Hetfield’s body double’ -shirt. :)

It seems I’m the first one to get to a computer after the show. It’s now late afternoon, so I hope the rest didn’t get lost.

Anyway, very good but short show. 2 new songs played: Rise Up and Die Like A Motherfucker.

They opened with Meat Abstract - Nowhere - Teethgrinder. This really is a killer opening. The rest of the setlist was similar to the latest shows. I leave it to Robby or Roxy to give the complete setlist.

During the encore Andy did a solo version of Diane and then totally fucked up during Isolation. T? were all laughing. They also had to stop the last song, Hey Satan You Rock and continued with a “jazz” version, as they also did in Weert last year.

Some additional notes from me:
They also played the chorus of I Got erection n the middle of Isolation (where they used to quote She’s Lost Control at other shows).

It’s Neil’s birthday today and he got a muddled up chant from the crowd.

It was the first time I heard any of the new stuff. DLAM has a catchy chorus and is ok in my opinion, but Rise Up is a cracker. The verse is just carried by neil’s drumming and the chorus reminds me of classic bad Brains hardcore, just fuckin’ awesome.

Rae, the singer from Reamonn who played before T? named them as one of their favourite bands. Hard to believe that someone whose own music is so boring should have a bit of good taste.

It was nice to see all you other wombles out there. I hope you had a safe journey home (we were back at 5am).
Wake up roxy, post the setlist. :)

Here’s the setlist from yesterday:

Meat Abstract
Nowhere
Teethgrinder
Rise Up
Rust
Die Laughing
Turn
Dancin With Manson
If It Kills Me
Die Like A Motherfucker
Potato Junkie
Stop It You’re Killing Me
Knives
Screamager

Diane
Isolation
Hey Satan You Rock

The 2 new songs kick ass BIG time, especially the drums: Neil sounds absolutely brilliant, can hardly wait to hear the rest of the album ;)

It was really nice seeing Gie, Knives, Martin and Mareike again and of course it was a really big honour for me to finally meet mr allroy, a big cheers for the beers my friend although I can only taste 9… 1 exploded in my car this afternoon  … there goes my theory that German beer is pure water :D

My chemistry lessons finally paid off.

I hope it didn’t make too much of a mess in your trunk. But I can also only try 9 of your beers, or do you really think that I’ll drink Kriek (cherry-flavoured beer, what a sin  ), as I already ‘enjoyed’ it before. :)

That would’ve been another guess why the beer exploded - our sweet voices can smash glass. But as it happened in Gelsenkirchen, what the hell were you doing in the backseat of Robby’s car?

See marja, roxy is not involved in any technical stuff (except maybe a new camera in the hopefully not too distant future), at least not in Robby’s car.

Aaah, women and cars…
Just kiddin’, I’ll behave.

Here’s another site with pics from the festival.

And here’s a report about Alive 2004 (written in German).
They’re talking of 20,000 people over the weekend which means an average of 6500+ per night. It’s hard to estimate how many people stayed awake to watch T? (the show started at 12.30 am on Sunday morning), and we were in the front , but I guess it might have been 2500-3000, at least more than I expected.
