Senser

anyone remember them? i went to see them last night in some tiny gaff in Liverpool. original line-up, and totally on form. only about 50 people there, but it rocked. i didn’t know anything about them being back together until yesterday afternoon when a mate rang and told me he’d got us tickets. i figured some of you lot might be fans of old and similarly not in the know about them reforming.

Heitham is still a funny fucker inbetween songs too :D

The new album Schematic is out on One Little Indian since Monday.
I’ve got one track off of it on the new VISIONS magazine cd, but had no opportunity yet to listen to it.
But it’s good they’re back.

stacked up is one of the best albums I’ve ever listened to. especially eject, state of mind and age of panic are great songs. once, heitham and bass player built a band called lodestar. I think they released 1 album, didn’t like it but the first song another disaster was cool. it’s good to hear senser is back…

Title: Senser

I remember Senser indeed. They were Britain’s answer to Rage Against The Machine and had a following. I never got to see them, but I think Stacked Up is a classic album but I think its also a very underrated album that’s been lost.

By rights, like Therapy?, they deserve better.

Now that the likes of these ‘nu metal’ bands are dying a death, where the music doesn’t seem much anymore, Stacked Up still pulls a punch.

right, senser are one of my favourite bands. both of their albums (stacked up & asylum) were amazing. haven’t heard the new album yet but it should be great as usual. it’s really sad to see that innovative and inspired bands like senser or therapy? never got the attention they deserved. so everyone who hasn’t heard them, do it NOW

Random Senser-related fact: I remember Jules Hodgson (who was in Lodestar with Senser’s singer and is now in KMFDM) when he used to busk with his electric guitar in Leeds city centre, about twelve years ago! :)
