Summer Song

#

Started by allroy

Which is your favourite ‘summer’ song at the moment, i.e. the one you can hum along to and forget about that f***ing heat.

As I’m not on holiday, my fave is
Kill My Boss by J Church.

The chorus just helps you through the day at the office:
‘Tonight I’m going to kill my boss,
I don’t think it’s too outrageous.
Every wage has got its cost,
and I hope that it’s contagious.’ :)

By the way, Nelly Furtado, that’s close to a guilty pleasure. :p

And that woman can really rap. She has got my admiration for that

I dunno. I’m only glad about everything that doesn’t sound like Dragostea din tei, or what this crap is called… Or this group of songs a kid referred to as the “fuck songs” It was at a record store, and that kid stood with a CD yelling right through the shop “Hey, all the fuck songs are on it!”

Yes, and even without the slightest accent. :D I’ll have the choice: Quotations translated into English and having your remakrs, or leaving them in German, and have the remarks of everybody else here… *g*

I really think it’s those fuck songs. “Fuck I don’t want you back”, “Fuck you right back”, “Fuck you all”, “Fuck all those little disco babies”, “Fuck the fuck word”. Good God, the word is more often in the charts than in all Therapy? songs! :D

You should go bilingual (not the Pet Shop Boys album, it’s good though), i.e. post the original quote and translate it. That’s how I learned it.

I should go a Pet Shop Boys album? I’m sure it’s the weather that… Alright, so I’ll write down both versions in the future. Just in case someone here can’t understand English. :D

Ha, my teaser worked. :)

I can just recommend Bilingual. Se A Vida E is one my Pet Shop Boys’ favourites. I only want to fit in your range of acquaintances: T? lovers with musical tastes :p
And I’d like to know what the kid said in German. Did it have a Hessian accent? (I think you’re from the Frankfurt area, if I remember correctly some beer discussions on this board).

Mine is “Fick das System” by Die Sterne (this bilingual stuff looks pretty stupid to me), now is that one of those fucksongs?

Oh bys the way, one of my favourite bands made another briliant song: Groove Coverage - Stern über Betlehem. WHO BUYS THIS CRAP?

But it’s got to be the punk version featuring The Futureheads, one of my current favourites.

You just said that to fit in my range of acquaintances? Now, THIS is cute. ;)

The accent german children in the Frankfurt area have, turned out to sound a little turkish during the last few years. Let’s call it “the Erkan-und-Stefan-disease” So it sounded like:

“Ey, hürisaine, wo de Fucklieder alle drrrouf sin. Fuck I don’t want you back, Fuck what I said, Fuck you all. Voll fett!!!”

Well, what can I say…
